DU is fun, fast paced, and slightly naughty! The storyline is entertaining and reads smoothly. The characters are real and intermingle with one another throughout the book with ease. Because of this, I found the book hard to put down.
I liked Desires Unleashed. It's easy to read, it's fun, and it's a tasty break from our own lives!

Review: As soon as I started reading this book, I was enthralled with the plot and enamored with each character. The amazing seprate plots pull together wonderfully and entice the reader to keep going. It is impossible to put down and leaves you turning pages well into the early hours. I would suggest this book to anyone who is even slightly into vampires, shape-shifters, or just a great book!

Review: D.N. Simmon's "Knights of the Darkness Chronicles: Desires Unleashed" is not your average vampire novel. The story strays away from the classic, Dracula-inspired nosferatu tale and sets stage in the 21st century, creating an erotic thriller placed in the hidden depths of the Chicago underground. Aside from the racy, suspenseful plot, the dialogue and characters are incredibly realistic and reflect the time period. I would recommend this book to all of the vampire novel fans around the country who grow tired of the typical, redundant storylines and have been searching for a new, modern vampire novel.

Review: Enter a world where the supernatural and humans live together. There comes a mysterious murder and two detectives must discover the truth while a young woman named Natasha has her life change in a matter of seconds. There are a lot more characters and each of them has their share in this story.
This book is very well discriptive and I've found myself unable to put the book down. I found no dragged parts or boring ones. This is a great novel and I can't wait for Guilty Innocent.

Review: Fall into the world of the immortals. The supernatural race has been revealed. Given this book by a dear friend I was enthralled from page 1. Every turn of the page made me fall deeper and deeper into the author's vision of the future where humans and the supernatural must co-exist. Its realistic well-written characters and original plot seem to materialize before your very eyes when reading. For those whom may be question the erotic content, I say open your mind, the author writes it so seamlessly that even if you aren't gay you will find it erotic as well as enticing. I can't wait for the sequel.

Summary: Not Overwhelmed
Review: I bought this book based on all the 5 star reviews. The story line is a good one. It was well thought out and very entertaining, which is why I gave it 3 stars. The writing is fine for the most part but I would not say it is even close to excellent. Sometimes, it even seems fairly amaturish.

In addition, there are so many typos (generally, I came across one on every other page, or so), it actually became distracting. In some places I even had to reread the sentence because there was an extra word thrown in like the author had changed their mind, forgot to delete, and no one caught it. I can't believe the publisher missed so many mistakes, assuming that they proof read. It may sound overly picky, but I've actually never encountered anything like it in any book I've ever read before, which is why I feel compelled to write about it in this review.

Like I said, it's an entertaining and original story. An enjoyable read...just beware before spending $17.50.

Review: The first book of D.N. Simmons is sexy with its vampires and werecreatures. The characters are excellent and well developed. The dialogue is lively and entertaining. The plot is quite intriguing and the book will suck you in like a vacuum.
You will totally fall in love with each of these well drawn out characters who are all hot as all hell.
So read this book if you like vampires, shapeshifters and erotic scenes.

Review: this book is the best vampire book that i have EVER read! when my friend told me about this book, i was interested and i read the back of her book and was immediately intrigued. so i brought my own copy. right from the beginning this DU caught me up. the characters are SO real! And the erotism is through the roof! I've read anne rice and laurell k hamilton and others, this book is RIGHT UP THERE! best $23.00 i've ever spent!

Review: This was actually a very good book, I was definitely surprized! I thought the plot was original and exciting. The characters were extremely realistic, which was very interesting. There were a lot of things that kept me interested while reading this book.

I enjoyed the sex scenes, it was new and fun to read about gay sex scenes in a vampire/shape-shifter novel.

If you haven't read it, what are you waiting for.
