Summary: Good Start to a Good Series
Review: This is a good start for a good series. It is a bit slow, but very interesting. The characters are memorable and it is fun trying to figure out which country is which (Algarve being Germany, Unkerlant being Russia). This book is really good.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Fantasy version of WWII. . .
Review: While it is a novel idea, the story is both predictable and somewhat boring. The characters and places are difficult to keep track of at first although it does become easier. I found it difficult to care about most of the characters and the writing is only average at best. As a fan of history, sci-fi, and fantasy I found this to be one of Turtledove's worst novels.
