Summary: Kirk wants to build life, and not destroy it!
Review: The fourth book in Shatner's "Star Trek" series is just as good as "The Ashes of Eden," and "The Return!" A story that is a sequel to the classic episode "Mirror, Mirror" (as well as the mirror-universe episodes on "Deep Space Nine") Even after Kirk has admitted that the federation doesn't need his help anymore, and that he may spend the rest of his life with his true love Teilani(a beautiful woman who's made him a better man in my opinion), deep down am inner part of him wants to be a hero once more! Although he's denied it to Teilani, she encourages him to back out into the universe again! Eventually, this leads to another encounter with the Mirror Universe Spock & Katherynn Janeway (the captain of "Star Trek: Voyager") who needs Kirk's help to straighten things out due to his first encounter! Soon, things go from bad to worse when Teilani is kidnapped, and Kirk must reunite Ambassador Spock, Admiral McCoy, and Scotty to get her back! Look for Captain Picard, and the "Next Generation" crew along for this adventure! Keep the adventures coming Bill Shatner!

Summary: To be continued? What that heck is that all about?
Review: There is nothing I hate more than reading a book and being left wondering what will happen next. It would be far better to have the sequel pick up with the next adventure. Anyway, this book is fairly decent. I preferred Avenger and The Return a lot more, but Shatner is still able to keep my attention. I do think that Picard & Co, are a little overkill. I would like to see something from Sulu, Uhura, Chekov and Spock. The idea and concept of Teilani is cool but I wonder if its getting in the way to Kirk's "persona." Don't get me wrong now. Teilani is a great edition. I would just like to see her join Starfleet as a member of Kirk's crew instead of running back to Chal. Also wuz up wid Scotty's sudden disdain for Kirk? Overall, this book is good. Lots of action, plot twists, etc. But also has a number of loose ends and cliff hangers. Kirk is a lucky man to continue changing the rules, beating the system, and surviving. Star Trek would be nothing without Jim Kirk, no matter whether you like him or not. I looketh forward to reading the sequels. Ya kno what I mean Vern?

Summary: The Begining of it all
Review: This is book one of the Mirror Universe saga. James Kirk is ready to settle down and live out the rest of his soon to be bride, but that doesn't even get a chance. The book is a great opener for the trilogy. Kirk is forced to rely on people from the corrupt mirror universe who think he is the evil former Emperor Tiberius. With Kirk facing so many obsticles, this is a quick read and will keep you going for hours on end. The ending of this Book is unthinkable and leads directly into book two, DARK VICTORY.

Summary: Fantastic Star Trek Novel,
Review: What a brilliant book.
I devour anything star trek, i know whats good and whats not - and shatner has done it again. brilliant plot, the characters are fleshed out in a way that no-one has ever really done, he brings together the original series, the next generation, and voyager (and their mirror versions) together, and it is fascinating (also look for the mirror tasha yar hidden somewhere...)
Ok, so kirk and his crew may be portrayed as legendary unkillable starfleet geniuses, but whats wrong with that, it makes for a wonderfully readable, book, one that gets your adrenaline pumping like the very best of action films, a book that is pretty funny at times, and totally readable.
Yes, Picard etc. aren't pertrayed too well, but you really not be too bothered by that, nice one wil shatner!
