Summary: a Claremont classic
Review: Here we have another of Chris Claremont's classic X-Men stories. Here you have the X-Men we are all familiar with, including Wolverine, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, Psylock, and Cyclcops. This is the first few volumes of the Claremont created X-Men series that happened in the 90s. Very good work in here. I recommend it for anyone who enjoys anything X-Men related.

Summary: Page turning action
Review: If you feel neutral or hate about x-men, then this book will change your mind. For theses reasons: Firstly, the art is by Jim Lee, which by the way is phenomnal and in my opinion the best artist to work for MARVEL. Second, the story line is very good, it's a page turner, it goes from batting the master of magnetism, Magneto, to the bloody rumble with Omega Red. Finally, it isn't like the new x-men comics nowadays, which by the way suck now, this was when x-men were at their prime. Scott and Jean loved and shared a bond that not even mind control much less Wolverine could break and the X-men actually wore blue and yellow suits not thoses ugly black ones that Marvel just started to put in the comics just because the movies came out with them. Better buy this book now, usually Jim Lee's comics are sold out or out of print. I give it another month before this one goes out of stock.

Summary: Best of the best, remineds me of better times for the X-Men
Review: P>This is the last and probably bet X-Men stories every. It combines the talents of Chris Claremont (before he was fired and X-Men fell apart) and Jim Lee when he was still letting his art flow naturaly. Hands down Lees bet are work ever! And if you know Lee that's saying a lot.

The story focuses on the X-Men Blue Team. Cyclops, Wolverine, Rouge, Gambit, Phylock, Beast, and Jubilee. The battle their old foe Magneteo who is back with a vengence to take over the world.

The second part of the story introduces us to a trio of Wolverine's arch villians, The Hand, Sabertooth, and Omega Red. The conspire together with one of Wolverine's evil creators to unlock Wolverine's seceret past and get more than they bargined for.

This is the X-Men at their absolute best just before they sank to their absolute worst.

Lee's artwork is breath taking.

Summary: this is why i read x men
Review: this is without a doubt the last great x men story before grant morrison came along and redefined everything...

jim lee is at his very very VERY best here (and thats saying something) i love this book i love the story i love the characters (best roster ever) i love magneto, i love gambit, i love the new feeling this has even a decade later, i love the training section at the begining, i love x men vs x men, i love the nods to the past (genosha, the submarine magneto sank years before, rogue and magnetos past)i love the fact that for at least one issue the doom and gloom seems to get lifted for a while in a game of basketball..

simply put this is part of my favourite run of comics ever (x men 1 to 11) buy it, buy it now

just fantastic

Summary: Claremont and Lee together equal one fine X-Men story
Review: This TPB contains the first seven issues of the X-Men during Marvel shake up in the early '90s. These seven issues can easily be two of the best story arcs to bare the X in years. Together Claremont and Lee have won the covetous Eagle Award for outstanding work in comics not once but twice, and the first of the two story arcs contain within this TPB should have been their third. Although Claremont left the X-men and Marvel for reason we need not get into, he left the title on one of it's highest notes. Ladies and Gents please don't let this title past you by, this dream team put some of their finest work to print in this one.

Summary: Awesome. It's just awesome.
Review: This volume is great. You have to get it if you love the X-men. This volume contains the first seven or so issues of the X-men series that came out twelve years ago. I loved these stories as a kid and I love them now. They are still just as good as I remember. Issues 1-4 have a really good Magento/X-men battle while Issues 4-7 have a great Wolverine story that carries over into the now classic "Wolverine#50." I hope the issues that follow this one (Jim Lee's "Ghost Rider/X-men/Brood story" and Jim Lee's "Longshot" story) get published in a volume that Accompanies this one.
