Rating: Summary: It is a sad book but a good one. Review: Aldrea, a young Andalite, and her family are sent to the world of the Hork-Bajir, a physically overpowering species with razor-sharp blades at their ankles, knees, wrists and elbows. Although the Hork-Bajir look incredibly fierce, they are a gentle and docile group whose blades are only used to strip bark from trees. Once on the Hork-Bajir home world, Aldrea meets Dak Hamee, a unique Hork-Bajir who learns more quickly and completely than the rest of his race. After her family is killed, Aldrea realizes that the Yeerks have arrived, and the fierce Hork-Bajir wars begin.Aldrea and Dak Hamee lead the fight against the Yeerks together and are eventually joined by Andalite forces. But after discovering that the Andalites are planning to annihilate the Hork-Bajir, Aldrea and Dak Hamee realize that the two of them are fighting alone. Dak-Hamee, born into the Hork-Bajir tribe, is a seer. A seer is one who is born to show a new way. When Dak-Hamee meets Aldrea, the clever Andalite daughter of Prince Seerow, they learn together of the dangerous plot of the Yeerks, and of Esplin 9466 who later becomes Visser Three.
Rating: Summary: Very Interesting Review: Dak Hamee, born into the Hork-Bajir tribe, is something special from the start. "Strange," says his mother. "A seer," says the Old One, Tila Fashat. "A seer is one who is born to show a new way. Many, many seasons pass, then our father, the Deep, and our mother, the Sky, say, 'Send a seer to the people. The people have need.' And so one is born who is different." When strange and different Dak meets Aldrea, the clever Andalite daughter of Prince Seerow, they learn together of the dangerous plot of the Yeerks, and of Esplin 9466, who will stop at nothing to build his empire. Learn more about Prince Seerow's Kindness, find out how Andalites kiss, and plumb the mysteries of the Deep in this suspense-filled story of good, evil, and interspecies love. (Ages 9 to 12)
Rating: Summary: Interesting Book Review: The great part about this book is hhow Miss Applegate creates three main characters and one by one shows each of their points of view. One from an Andilite, who is visiting with her partents to the planet. Another a Hork-Bajir seer, named Dak Hamee, who will one day lead his people to something he has yet to find out. And the last, a Yeerk named Esplin 9466, who is trying to invade the Hork-Bajir homeworld. I would recomend this book to young to teen readers who enjoy Sci-fi-ish books and who won't mind the switch of different main characters. I myself happen to like the Chronical books, I think they are more interesting than the short Animorphs chapter books. It would be nice if K.A. Applegate made the book a bit longer, just to see what happened after the Yeerks made the invasion.
Rating: Summary: The Begining Of The Yeerk Invasion Review: The Hork Bajir Chronicles by KA Applegate is an awesome book! This story is about the hork bajir war before the earth invasion. The main characters are Aldrea (daughter of prince Seerow) Dak Hamee (a hork bajir seer) and Esplin 9466 (visser 3). The andalites are trying their best to stop the yeerks from infesting the hork bajir to use their bodies for shock troops. I like this book because I enjoy animorphs books a lot and it is fun knowing the things that happen before the animorphs. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this book like all other animorphs books a 10. I think K.A Applegate wrote this book to make a good kids book with action and other things kids find interesting.
Rating: Summary: A pleasing book to read Review: This book is about the battle between the Hork Bajir and the Yeerks. A young Andalite female, Aldrea vows to fight the Yeerks by the side of the Hork Bajir seer, Dak Hamee. Her parents were killed in the fight and she rouse with more anger. But, because of Prince Alloran's deadly mistake, the Hork Bajir world fell to the Yeerks. You will also know about who actually is Visser Three. The prologue and epilogue are touching to read. This book is not a must read for Animorph fans since there are no animorphs in the book. The body is quite boring also. But it is still a good buy for extreme Animorph fans. This book is narrated excellently.
