Rating: Summary: I feel that this book is a real eye-opener! Review: This book opened my eyes in alot of ways. First of all, it kind of shows that being ostrasized only makes you stronger as a person, but if you keep the faith, one day people will see you for who you are, and not just a flawfull person.I have one concern though: the book ended on a very unfullfilling note, wich left em wanting to know more about Katie.
Rating: Summary: I wish it didn't have to end Review: This book was a childhood favorite of mine, and one which is still on my bookshelf today (and will always be). It explores in a very human way, and from the realistic viewpoint of a young girl, the wonders and prices of possessing telekinetic power. My only complaint is just as it was getting REALLY good the book ended. I wish there was a sequel. If you like this book, you should also like The Girl Who Owned a City by O.T. Nelson and From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler....all about children who are forced to depend only on themselves...my favorite childhood subject.
Rating: Summary: Its Simply the Best Review: This book was definitely different from other books I have read in a good way. Can you imagine what that must feel like? On peeks the problem: not being able to make friends, and another horrible thing happens right away. If you do not have patience, I do not suggest this book for you. You have to wait for all of the action to begin. However, it is worth the wait! I think it was funny how Katie¡¯s mom just simply refuses to say there is something wrong with Katie¡¯s eyes ¡ª said her eyes were just Grey (in her mother¡¯s way). This book is so capturing that I cannot even put the book down! I read this like in one day and I read it over and over and over and it was still interesting!
Rating: Summary: A Fascinating Story Review: This book was definitely different from other books I have read in a good way. The main character is Katie Welker. She has silver eyes and telekinetic powers. She is used to being alone in an apartment all day long. She would rather be alone than being with other kids her own age. When she tries to make friends they don't accept her. They are too threatened by her appearance and her powers. Even her own family feels threatened by her! Can you imagine what that must feel like? On top of not being able to make friends another horrible thing happens. Katie overhears a neighbor saying that they might have caused her very own grandmother's death. You have to read the book and see of they catch her listening and find out if she can find more people with silver eyes! I feel that this book was well written. If you do not have patience I don't suggest this book for you. You have to wait for all of the action to begin. But it is worth the wait! I would mostly recommend for girls ages 8 to 12. If you would just like a good book to read this is the one for you.
Rating: Summary: My absolute favourite book! Review: This book was my favourite book when I was a child. I never read books more than once, except for this one. The powers Katie has feed the imagination. Her uniqueness makes her alone, but she discovers others her age are in the same situation and they form an aliance -- a true book of self-acceptance.This book is timeless. I first read this book fifteen years ago. Now, I am a school librarian and I often recommend this book. Erica, an eleven year old book lover in my school, who's all time favourite is Harry Potter, told me this book is "almost as good as Harry Potter". High praise indeed.

Rating: Summary: One of my all-time favorite books. Review: This is one of my all-time favorite books. I can't remember how old I was when I first read it, but I am 18 now and I still love it. I identify with Katie so much, and I always wondered if I had superpowers that I hadn't discovered yet!
Rating: Summary: This was one of the greatest books I've ever read!!! Review: This is one of the greatest books I've ever read! I couldn't put it down! "Skippy, why do you read so much?" my brothers asked me. Then he read it and wouldn't do anything else but read it! Willo Davis Roberts is such a genius!!!!!
Rating: Summary: I took this book with me when I got married! Review: This is the only children's novel I have, and I've read it at least a dozen times (and the last time wasn't that long ago). I plan on pulling it out and reading it every so often for as long as I can. If I ever decide to have children, I'll make sure they know this classic as well as I do.
Rating: Summary: one of my favorites Review: This was one of my favorite books when I was in middle school. The characters seem real and the situation is fantastic enough to keep you interested. This will definately be a book I recommend to both my sons and daughters.
