Review: Shadowkaster is a great first book, from an author who hasn't developed the lazy, bad habits of too many fantasy novelists. He has created believable (if any fantasy character could be called believable), well-rounded and likeable (or not in some cases) men, monsters, giants & gods. The book is a fantastic blend of battles, both physical & mental, discoveries and mysteries, with a large portion of humour thrown in, to good effect. I look forward to the sequel, and hope it keeps up the standard of the original. Long live the Shadowkaster! Or not...
