Review: I like to read books by first time authors. I find that they often have an unique sensibility and raw quality that you don't find in books by more experienced authors. This book is interesting. It has its flaws. But, the story works, the characters work, and I found myself caring. If Mr. Otten fixes a few areas of dialogue, tightens up the timeline, and concentrates a little bit more on the presentation, he might have a winner.
