Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Do you know what your hands are doing?
Review: There are certain books that should be read in pairs. 'Starship Troopers' by Robert Heinlein and 'The Forever War' by Joe Haldeman come to mind.
In this case, the pair are 'More Than Human' by Theodore Sturgeon and 'The Inner Wheel' by Kieth Roberts. Both books are about a human gestalt, or symbiotic organism. A group of psionically talented folk join to form a larger, more complete, being. They are basically 'hands' (telekinetics), 'legs' (teleports), 'brain' (telepath), and eyes (esper).
Both books are thought-provoking but 'The Inner Wheel' is darker.
