Summary: I want to be Ashroud!
Review: Man, there have been a ton of wizards in fantasy books. Most have been ... of Tolkein's Gandalf. But this Ashroud character dreamed up by A. Hunt is my new hero. He's not so much a wizard, even; he's like some avatar of a god. And if you can read this book and not want to know what he did on the bridge writ with gold letters, then you're deader than a draubuig.

Review: okay, think tolkien reincarnated as philosopher and theologian. thats what this august hunt is like. i mean, this is deep. there were some parts i had to read more than once just to make sure i grasped all the layers. but i didn't mind because theres much of it that is pure poetry. buy the book! youll be happy you did because it will stay with you for a long time and even come out in your dreams.

Review: Picked this one up used on the recommendation of a friend. Never heard of it, and can't find anything on the authro anywhere. But this novel is SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD. Someone needs to promote this thing. I don't know whose supposed to do that, I guess the author and the publisher both. Anyway, I'm hear to let everyone know it's a great fantasy read and deserves to be heralded through the known and unknown lands.

Review: Some of this book I didn't get, not because there's anything wrong with the plot or the characters, just that the writer delves into really murky musings on good and evil. I enjoyed the musings nonetheless, even when I didn't fully understand them. The power of the prose carried me along like a great wave that I couldn't stop and couldn't get off of. I give it 4 stars since I would have liked more clarity. But that's me; I'm more an on-the-surface kind of person. :-)

Review: This was a hefty paperback, but was definetly worth the read. I look forward to more books by August Hunt.

Review: Why didn't the author make this longer? Alright, alright... it IS an oversized paperback, and it IS 150,000 words or more. The darn thing just didn't last long enough. A writer of this calibre should be out Jordaning Jordan. Buy it, give it a new set of wings.
