Rating: Summary: Georgia Bockoven's best yet! Review: Although I've read all of Georgia Bockoven's books, "the Beach house" was her best yet, ITs a very well written book and you fall in love with the characters.
Rating: Summary: a marvelous and very special book Review: At first glance, I knew this was not my type of book. You know the type. As sappy love story, with characters so perfect even Victoria's Secret models would be envious. With all those odds against The Beach House, I picked it up. The bargain was unbelievable, and I'm an avid reader. From the very first page, I was touched. A wife struggles with the loss of her husband. A divorced woman faces life as a single mom, while trying not to be bitter. An elderly couple proves that marriage is a wonderful institution. So many other things went on in this book. I couldn't put it down. I cried when Joe and Maggie made love for the last time. I also rejoiced when Joe joined Maggie in his final act of love. This is a great read. Every avid reader must buy a copy of this book. Georgia Bockhoven, here's one person who will buy anything with your name on it.

Rating: Summary: Entertaining, enjoyable and heartwarming and tragically sad. Review: George Bockoven has done it again with her sad, poignant story that entwines the lives of several people into the small beach house on the coast. She has captured the heartache of the loss of a special love; the tragedy of illness as it relates to two people, the one who is dying and the one who's loved her a lifetime; the dreams and hope of a young man for a love he'd dream about but never hoped to attain; the helplessness of a woman who suddenly finds herself alone from a marriage that she thought would last; and a love and special bonding of two people who are told by others they have no right to reach for more than once in their lives.
Rating: Summary: The Beach House will Make You Happy! Review: Georgia Bockoven's books share some common elements. You can't put her books down--which is, generally, a good thing to read in a review. She writes in touching fashion about the way life is. Basically, that magic you can feel watching a really great movie, or listening to truly beautiful music, that's what you get reading one of Georgia's books.
Rating: Summary: A reader from Tennessee Review: I really enjoyed The Beach House. So many novels dwell on the younger relationships. Sometimes we fail to reaze relationships can last through thick and thin just like Joe and Maggie. I thought that was wonderful how they tied the three families together. I heard a song "Grow Old With Me" not long ago, and that came to mind when I came to the month of July and Joe and Maggie. This is the first book I have read by Georgia Bockoven, but I plan to read more.

Rating: Summary: typical bockoven--excellent! Review: I'll be more brief here, I suppose... You can't put her books down. They are not just about romance--they are about REAL romance. Not fairy tale stuff. This is the way life is, here. The sad parts of life, written with an incredible ability to touch the readers own emotional buttons about personal tragedy. The wonderful power of true love. Almost a fairy tale, but not quite. Also written with a skill that touches your own sweet memories of loves, past and present. Some of the best I've ever read.
