Rating: Summary: You wont drift off to sleep while reading this awesome book. Review: From the opening pages to the 1st quarter of the book, nothing could drag me away from reading it, till I realized I had over cooked the roast that was in the oven! This book is well thought out and well written with instances that seemed so real. Many times I thought of looking over my shoulder or in the sky for signs.....Anybody who enjoys an action packed book with a wonderful story line, they should definately read this. You could finish it on a 6 hour flight....that is how intense it is. I was telling myself "one more chapter" from chapter 44 to 67. I finally had to get the kids to sleep. In fact, my iterest in the book caused suspicion in my wife! Now she is reading it!!!
Rating: Summary: Reliable sources say the screenplay is "in play"--fantastic! Review: Mr. Raymond may have been an extra-terrestrial himself in one of his lifetimes ~ his sense of the understanding of things outside our realm comes through that strongly. This book is a total escape from the mundane and a real page-turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what in this world can explain these weird occurrences. His visualization is spooky. A good read.

Rating: Summary: Reliable sources say the screenplay is "in play"--fantastic! Review: My third time reading it! The Movie would be a really decent contemporary sequel to "Close Encounters", because it's that different. The Ace Bark character (Art Bell...sort of?) is a great addition, and there are unpredictable twists every few pages! I'm glad I read it ahead of the pack. Watch out! Sooner or later this will be a movie. Uh huh. That's what I know.

Rating: Summary: Synopsis Review: Radio Talk Show Host Ace Bark is in for the ride of his life. And so are you. Maybe there has been a real, justifiable...reason...for the government to hide things... "The Third Kind of Midnight" is an exciting, and emotionally twisting, page-turner of a novel. It's a palpable "thought experiment"--that goes far beyond ho-hum speculation about whether the government may have kept extra-terrestrial craft and reverse-engineered technology secret. This story dives actively and headlong into exactly why they would do that-who "they" might be--and the manner in which everything we hold dear could change...overnight when the phenomenon unfolds. There's plenty of action, a real story line with closure, humor, and characters that...live. You'll never look at UFO's-or Talk Radio, the same way again.
Rating: Summary: It grabs you on the first page, and in no time at all you fe Review: The day I got the book, I read straight through until morning. The plot is so good! Not only does Raymond make you believe that being in a close encounter would physically alter your soul; the plot starts simply, and builds steadily, until you see HOW it could change the whole world, physically, in one evening! He puts so many elements together, that by the time I read the (highly emotional) ending, I felt like I had a different world view! The radio talk show host "Ace Bark" absolutely blew me away (like Art Bell does each night), and the sprinkling of sardonic humor throughout the book was as good as it gets! Bravo!
Rating: Summary: Beyond The X Files Review: With all of the so-called sci-fi books out there, it is nice to know that there are a few that occupy the fields of true science-fiction and literature. Henry Raymond's "Third Kind of Midnight" is a credible combination of post-modern literature and science, along with a little mystery thrown in. While keeping the story believable, the author takes the reader much, much farther down the road than any X Files episode ever has....
