Summary: An amazing, adventurous, and original story!
Review: I could not put this one down.

The author's intricate and descriptive writing made me feel like I was really with Teron on his journey. It has been a very long time since I have read a book that kept my attention like Northstar did. Phil Benson created a world and populated it with characters that you not only meet, but also really begin to care about. This book also overflows with action! The several battles that take place leave you breathless and wanting more.

The worst thing about this book is turning the last page knowing that it is over.

Summary: The next "Lord of the Rings"
Review: Ladies and Gentlemen, you want an epic novel.... I give you Northstar. In the spirit of Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings", Benson's "Northstar" is an epic story of a young man and his search for truth. I highly recommend this book and encourage anyone who reads this review to check this book out.

Summary: A Must-Have Addition To Your Fantasy Library
Review: Northstar is a wonderful book. The characters are memorable and well-developed, the plot is gripping, the settings are vivid, and underneath it all, Northstar delivers a powerful message. For any devotee of the fantasy genre, this book belongs up on yor shelf next to Jordan, Salvatore, and Tolkien.

Summary: Awestruck!
Review: That's the only way to describe it. I picked it up and I couldn't put it down till I was done. The characters are so alive and the world is rich in it's textures and scenery. The action is well written, intense, and it moves. Wonderful book for someone just getting into fantasy or for long time readers of the genre.

Summary: More Please!!!
Review: This has to be one of the best books I've read in a long time. Just the title itself caught my attention. And to my surprise it didn't leave me wanting. This piece of work will definitely keep the reader's imagination stirring even when it is put down after each read. Absolutely capitvating! Ground works for an incredible classic series.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This is fascinating new addition to the fantasy literary world, reminiscent of Tolkien but with a fresh twist. Benson has truly captured every essence of what an adventure novel should be and then expanded upon the definitions. An epic in form and scope, Northstar is less a great idea than an amalgam of great ideas in which the creativity of plot and character development merge into an effective whole. The world that Benson creates is rich with conflict and intrigue, and the beauty with which it is written makes it a knock-out read. It's certain to be the first in a series, and I only hope that more people discover the strange and exciting world that I have discovered within its pages.
