Rating: Summary: A Magical Read Review: I am a parent of an 11 year old girl, and addmittedly, an avid reader of most of her books. Usually they are cute little stories with nothing much behind them. The Cinnabar Box is a different story, in more ways than one. I actually have read it 3 times now; once with my little girl, once with my 7 year old son and (don't tell anyone) just myself. It was a wonderful story that reminded me of the great times I had when I was a young girl, discovering the wonderful world of fantasy. Ilil Arbel has written a story that gets your heart pumping while touching it as well. As a parent, and apparently a little girl still at heart (I have found myself using that word a lot more after having read this book), I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Great book for girls! Review: I am twelve years old. I like fantasy and stuff about witches. This book is awesome because it is about a girl who is smart and clevr and brave. I enjoyed it very much. I think boys should read it too.
Rating: Summary: A Fascinating Adventure! Review: Ilil Arbel captures our imaginations with this wonderful fantasy-adventure. I read it with my twelve-year-old and we had a great time following the exploits of Ms. Arbel's young heroine, Donna. It is a perfect read for the middle-school set, boy or girl.
Rating: Summary: An enchanting book Review: This is an enchanting book. When everything seems to go wrong for Donna, she is saved by her eccentric aunt and stops feeling like a failure, but this is only a momentary respite. Little does she know that she is going to be whisked away from this comforting environment and land in parallel universes where she is going to be the one who has to rescue her aunt. This book is not for children only! If you like the Harry Potter books, you'll love the Cinnabar Box!
