Review: This book is an absolute must for any C.J. Cherryh fan. As a collection of short stories, it does not have quite as much character and plot development as most of the author's books. However, it provides an intriguing glimpse into the development of some of Cherryh's best known characters, including Altair Jones of _Angel with the Sword_, and Caith Mac Sliabhin from _Faery in Shadow_. If you're a Cherryh fan, you'll love this book.
