Summary: Doesn't this remind you of something?
Review: I loved the book, it was a really good story. But the thing with the bondmates and their mindreading animal companions, remind you of Mercedes Lackey with her heralds and Companions?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An exelently written book with believable characters
Review: I loved this book. I first picked it up because i was desperate for some fantasy and i thought this looked okay. but this book turned out to be my favorite ever. The begining was a little boring. But is't that the case with all great fantasy?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must read for animal/scifi/fantasy lovers!!
Review: I originally bought this book because of the cat on the cover. (I had just finished reading "Tailchaser's Song", "The Wild Road", and "Book of Night With Moon" and needed another cat-related fantasy book, and quick!) I am SO happy I found this book. I read the trilogy within a matter of weeks and was ecstatic to find "Sunderlies Seeking" on the shelf soon thereafter. I strongly recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy fiction, especially if they are an animal lover as well. The characters, both human and Ghatti alike are all knowable and memorable. The series is full of suspense, adventure, laughter, sadness and I am sure most readers, like myself, didn't want them to end. Greeno really weaves the reader into the world of Methuen and it is hard to leave. I am anxiously awaiting Book Two of Ghatten's Gambit!

Summary: I just read it for the cats
Review: I picked it up and read it 'cause of the cats on the cover. The concept of cat companions in compelling, but I thought it could have been done better. I didn't think it was a good idea to have to much fighting and physical action in the story when the protagonist is a 30ish woman civil servant (not a soldier) with a mind reading cat as a companion. Didn't seem like the best use of the heroine's talents. That was my main complaint for the first and second book. I didn't get around to reading the last one.

Summary: Great Book
Review: I think that this was one of the best books that I have ever read. I liked it so much that I bought the rest of the series to read. I am now halfway through the second book, and unlike some authors which lose the point in a second book, Gayle Greeno's second book was as good as the first. I am now considering buying the Ghattens Gambit Series.

Summary: Intelligent fantasy -- this is as good as it gets!
Review: I've been devouring "fantasy" books at a high rate for 23 years, completed a Bachelor's in Fantasy (English) Lit at UC Berkeley, and I have to say that "Ghatti's Tale" is quite possibly the best one I've encountered. Unlike many other fantasy tales, it has a completely logical, realistic world in which people act of free will, rather than as mere pawns for the plot or the gods. None are unrealistically blinded by lust/love, though they all have close friendships that could evolve into more in another tale. The Ghatti-cats are similarly portrayed as intelligent creatures with distinct feline personalities, rather than as furry humans or dumb beasts. (I've been rescuing cats for 15 years, so I know their mentality quite well. :^)

I have only two complaints. One was that it is ridiculous to assume that "the seeds of evil" in a feline mind are any more inborn than they are in a human -- vicious behavior in animals is almost always the result of abuse. The other was that despite having strong female characters in abundance, Greeno failed to have any that weren't interested in giving up their active life to become mothers. Not every woman is interested in childbirth or parenthood... :^P

Summary: A must for Cat and Fantasy lovers!
Review: If you ever wished you could communicate with your feline companion, this and the rest of the series are the books for you!

Adventure, romance, and most inportant, CATS!

All the elements required in a good book!

Summary: This book was exellent!
Review: Once I read the first page, I was hooked. The action, building romance, and suspence made it worthwhile. Also the fear, I can't help but think of this book and cringe when I hear that certain word, which if you have read it you'll know. The suspence of the sequel nearly drove me mad.

Summary: this book made me start reading fantasy
Review: Other than the beginning which is a bit hard to follow until you learn that language, this book was terrific. Admittedly, what caught my attention was the illustration. So who's to say you can't judge a book by its cover. This one came through and surpassed anything I expected.
