Review: One of the character of the series I have been dying to know a little more is Captain Gold. In this story we get that. It's about a friend of Gold, Augustus Bradford. They once served together and had a falling out. Now he is imprisoned in an orbital facility called the Plat. It seems that Bradford is a terrorist now.
The DaVinci is ordered to go to the Plat when it malfunctions. While over there the SCE is trying to fix up the place when they discover Bradford is missing.
At the end of the story Bradford basically becomes a terrorist and the Kursicans are going to put an end to it with force. What makes the matter tricky is that he has his daughter and grandson with him, plus a Federation envoy.
Th story is very good and the SCE series is really hitting it's stride. Gold's background is very interestng and Bradford interaction with Gold pretty good. I recommned this e-book all the way.
