Rating: Summary: A Whole New Ballgame... Review: While I await, along with the rest of the planet, to see Chris Nolan relaunch the Batman film franchise, I have been looking back at how the first 4 movies got made. For 1995's Batman Forever Unit Publicist and author Michael Singer was given the task of taking us behind the scenes in The Official Movie Book.Batman Forever signaled many changes for the film series, both in front of, and behind the camera. Singer skillfully explained it all in 96 pages. From director Joel Schumacher taking over for the still producing Tim Burton, actor Val Kilmer replacing Michael Keaton as the Dark Knight, bringing Robin into the story for the first time and allowing Jim Carrey to run amok as the Riddler. It's all there The best parts of the book were the cast & crew profiles,, reading about the stunts & action sequences, as well as the introduction by Batman creator, the late great Bob Kane. Singer makes this yet another concise and fun read...without making it seem like he left someehing out The 96 pages is time well spent, if you especially liked the third film.
