Summary: SUPERIOR TO SECULAR FICTION!!!
Review: Hurry up and get the next book published please! Thanks for getting Apollyon out before August. The Left Behind series has kept my husband and I on the edge of our seats. The difference between these books and those written from a worldly mindset is that these are based on the truth of God's Word. The urgency, the realism, the hope. The fictional characters have been portrayed in a realistic way. I enjoy reading about Eli and Moeshe. What an insightful way of portraying these two witnesses...as they speak using God's word. When Tsion Ben Judah speaks to the crowded stadium and the response of praise is lifted up to heaven...its like being there! So awesome! The humor when the false profit arrives in his ridiculous outfit is such a scream! I love the fact that the book is not only serious, but humorous too. Whether one is a believer or not, or whether one is a pre-trib believer or not, JESUS IS COMING BACK! May God be glorified and may many come to the saving knowledge of Christ.

Summary: THE LEFT BEHIND SERIES IS THE BEST SERIES THAT I HAVE READ
Review: This series of books is a vary good example of what the last days on earth might be like. The previous books were vary good but I think that this book dosent live up to its name. They only say the name of the demon 2 times. The books are vary well writtin and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Summary: Not as good as LEFT BEHIND
Review: Left Behind was a great book. It got me into reading Scripture again, and radically changed my view of Jesus, God and my own faith. However, the following books do not have as many quotes from the Bible as Left Behind did. The whole "romance" between Buck and Chloe and Amanda and Rayford feels like a mere waiting time until we get more Scripture and food for thought. I would like to see more about the two Witnessess, Eli and Moishe, and less filler like Buck's search for Chloe in "Soul Harvest". If I wanted a love story, I could read it anywhere else (and it would probably have better character development). Give me more of the Witnesses, and more interpretation of Scripture, and less of the juvenile romance. Thank you.

Summary: Awful, just plain awful.
Review: Good God, we ought to be ashamed that this kind of trash is passed off as "Christian writing." This series is so uniformly bad that I could not in good conscience recommend it to anyone older than 10 or 11 years.

My brothers and sisters, I beg of you, read real literature, not this crud. God will work through that too. It may be harder, but in the end it will be more rewarding.

Summary: Great book! Can't wait for the next in the series.
Review: I can't seem to get enough of this series. This book is one of the best in the series. I am looking forward to the next one. I don't want to wait until August 1999. Everyone will enjoy this book. It really makes you think about the future. The authors have a captive audience that really believes!

Summary: I thought this book was the best yet in the series!!!
Review: I could hardly wait to turn the next page! I received my book from Amazon on Saturday and was finished by Monday. Each book has intrigued me so much that I have started searching the scriptures and my heart as I read. I think this is the point of the series and accomplishes the author's goals . I find the hard headedness of some of the characters similar to what we encounter in real life. I am looking forward to the Assasins and I am wondering who will be the assasin - it seems that several of the characters want the job. Thanks, Mr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkins for a great read (once again)!!

Summary: Forgive Me.
Review: Two years ago a friend of mine asked me if I read any of the Left Behind books. My reply was,"I don't have time for that junk. How can I justify reading fiction when I don't even pick up my own Bible." One year ago, different friend, same question, my same response. Last November a friend finally put all 3 of the first books in my hand and said, "Please try them". I said, "Get lost". He tried again in November of 1998, and to get rid of him I took all three of the books and put them in the back seat of my Honda. After about a month I picked up the first book. Well, I just finished Apollyon and the bizarre thing is that my Bible reading, devotions and relationship with Jesus has really grown. Wow! So big deal what the critics say. The bottom line is our relationship with Christ. Keep up the great work. By the way this has been a great tool to reach my unsaved family members.

Summary: If you choose to criticize this series...
Review: then I would suspect you'll be LEFT BEHIND! Read it, live it, know it...then when everyone around you disappears you'll know what to do! Think about this - what if everything these brilliant men have fictionalized (based on Bible fact and prophecy) turns out to be true? What then my friend?

This series is awsome! My faith has been boosted more and more and my love for the Lord has multiplied.

Summary: Passable fiction, with an outdated '70s prophecy angle
Review: The "Left Behind" series has been somewhat entertaining so far. It's passable fiction, worth reading. But the theology the authors use in writing leaves a great deal to be desired. Most Christians who HAVEN'T studied the Bible in great detail lap this kind of stuff up, without realizing that the "Rapture" has been predicted (without any success so far) since the 1930s. Hal Lindsey may have made it a little more famous since the '70s, but it's still an outdated concept that you really won't find in the Bible...unless you look VERY hard, and mismatch a few texts to fit your outlook. "Left Behind" is little more than the "Thief in the Night" movies turned into books, with 21st century technology tucked in to make them contemporary. If you're expected all of this to happen someday, I'd suggest you starting truly studying the Bible, and plug back into reality...the rest of the church is waiting for you to return.
