Rating: Summary: Excellent Series! Write MORE series' of books! Review: These are great books! Went through this one in a few days! I recommend them to everyone. TO Mr. Jenkins & Mr. La Haye: For us older readers, don't eliminate the recapping. When we wait something like 8 months between reading them, we forget who some of the characters are. I think if I were sitting down and reading the whole series in one sitting, the recapping wouldn't be needed. But since most readers are current, and we're waiting until the next book comes out, all that time goes by and we can't remember what the whole deal with Amanda was, or who the other Christian guy working with Carpathia was, a couple books ago, for example.....These are great books to read when going through hard times and not wanting to think too much about your present situation. Very uplifting! Thank you Mr. Jenkins and Mr. La Haye!!!! God Bless you!!
Rating: Summary: Apollyon Does Not Lose Steam Review: Ok. The fifth book in the series takes right off! 3 days...done! I could hardly put it down. We have a talk radio program here in Knoxville, TN and the announcer wanted to talk to someone who had read it. So naturally, I called in and argued that it should be Number 1 on every bestseller list! He agreed. When Apollyon's demons finally attack, it is almost like you can hear them! Very frightening...and yet another good reason to stay close to the Lord. Here's another person looking forward to August to the next release.
Rating: Summary: By far the best in the series Review: I have read all of the LEFT BEHIND books and feel that this is the best by far. It will leave you waiting for the next in the series. I am looking forward it reading the new one as soon as it comes out.
Rating: Summary: Un-Christian as ever... Review: The latest book in the series is as un-Christian and hateful as any of the others. Good boys and girls go to heaven; bad ones fry in hell. No wonder Christianity has such a bad rep -- it's because of wretched propaganda like this.
Rating: Summary: Hey, this is BIBLE BASED fiction, read this review! Review: Ok, first of all: yes, I do love these books. This review is for everyone who loves and everyone who hates this series. Mr. Lahaye and Mr. Jenkins are Bible scholars who have studied and taught the Bible quite a bit more than most anyone reviewing this book. These books are designed to make you realize that there is one truth in this world and that the end times will be horrible for those left behind. After reading certain parts of the book, an open minded person(Christian or not) should be inclined to say to his or her self "wow, does it really predict this in the Bible?" and pick up the Bible and read it. Just because somebody's church, pastor, or even their own beliefs differ, doesn't mean they can should come and trash the books. It's the stupid, childish, bickering between Christians that make a great deal of non-Christians from accepting Christ. Why would they want to be part of that? Yes, they do back track sometimes, so someone who hasn't read all the books can be some what up to date. Yes, it is depressing, sad, and deflating at times, but guess what, SO IS THE BIBLE! I tend to think the people that trash this series are mad because it doesn't quite agree with their own interpretation(or their church's) of the Bible. The main point is that the end times will be very grim. There is only one way to get to Heaven and that is through Christ. If this book prevents even one soul from having to go through that, I give it 5 stars. PS- to those that trash these books: have you completly, I mean really completely read through the Bible? I have. The writing is sometimes boring, sometimes the communication between people not the best, sometimes it's even R-rated, but it is the best book ever written. Are you going to trash that too because there are things that are said that you find it hard to agree with? Keep up the good work Mr Jenkins and Mr. Lahaye!
Rating: Summary: The very best of the "Left Behind" series---Awsome Review: I am a Senior Citizen 68 years and the book is beyond a shadow of doubt the best I have read in all my years!!!I Took my time reading I would read and about 3 days later start again, the reason: I did not want it to end. Can't wait for the next one.
Rating: Summary: I love the series Review: Praise the Lord! I love this series, and I haven't read Appollyon yet but I will when this semester is over. To the authors: please go easy on the recapping! That drives me nuts!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic book Review: If you read the other three book of the Left Behind series, you'll love this one. It is one of the few books that I have had a hard time putting down. The only problem is, is that they take so long to produce the next one in the series. Excellent for Bible and non-Bible fans. Read the first three then pick this one up. You believe in the characters and their mission. Very realistist.
Rating: Summary: Riveting;takes a hold of you and won't let go; Review: This series of books is by far the most thought provoking I have ever experienced. I have a deeply rooted religious faith and believe in God as my Redeemer and Saviour. I have shared this series of books with everyone I can. I love how you just can't put it down or can't wait to get to the next book and see how the Tribulation Saints are faring against the Antichrist. I am so pleased that the gentlemen are continuing to write more books. Bravo and keep them coming.
Rating: Summary: what a lousy series. Review: Our Heavenly Father has given us the free will to read better books than these.
