Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: great book Review: I thought this book was absolutely great. It is one of the best X-Men novels out there, and Ann Nocenti deserves a round of applause for using in the novel such serious topics mixed with the fantasy portion, and for using characters that have been practically forgotten in the comics themselves. (Longshot, Ricochet Rita, etc.) The Beast subplot could have been cut out, but everything else was great. Also, the best characterization I've ever seen of Wolverine... EVER.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Not Bad But... Review: If you like the X-Men and want to read an X-Men book then pick this up. It's an easy read but has little action or interesting points.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Not nearly at the level of other X-Men novels... Review: If you listen to one review on here, listen to this one. What is one of the major reasons you like X-Men? (Besides the characters)You like the action. This book is a X-Men book alright, minus the action. Nobody fights. I think Storm made a little cloud because she was angry, and that's IT!! Maybe it's me, but I thought this was Prisoner X, a X-Men novel, not the Daily Prison Review. Anyway it goes, do not get this one if you're looking for a real X-Men book. It was just to' up.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent book, both gripping and enjoyable. Review: Prisoner X is an excellent book about the X-Men. The transition from comic to novel is almost perfect. I found this book to be highly enjoyable, I couldn't put it down!! On a scale of 1 to 10, I feel this book definitely deserves a 10, for its splendid mix of suspense, humor, action, and drama.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Terrific Book Review: Prisoner X is my favorite X-novel so far. The characterization of Rogue was the best that I have seen in a long time. She is my favorite character and it was nice to see her in a starring role. The love triangle with her, Gambit, and Longshot was great. I hope that Ann will write more novels about Rogue soon.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Best X-novel Review: Prisoner X is the best X-novel ever written. It deals with some of the problems in society as well as problems ordinary people can face in their lives. The story focuses on the relationship between Rogue and Gambit. They have to trust each other as Rogue tries to save her ex-boyfriend, Longshot, and Gambit is suspected of betraying the X-Men. If you are a fan of this couple, you will probably enjoy the book. Other featured characters include Mojo, Phoenix, Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Spiral, and Major Domo.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: PRISON X Review: The book kept my interest from start to finish. The way that Gamit was preceived is fitting for his character. Never truely being trusted and the jealously he felt towards Rogue and Longshot played out well for the storyline. I wished they went into more of Longshots history with the X-men. At times the storyline bounced around to much from different characters or just didn't get into enough depth. Overall I enjoyed the novel.
Rating: ![0 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-0-0.gif) Summary: More than just a super hero novel... Review: This novel takes a long, hard look at prison life and the realities -- and unpleasantness -- of it. It's still very much an X-Men story (and also features Longshot, Spiral, Mojo, and Major Domo, all characters created by Ann for Marvel years ago), and told through that particular lens, but it's still a very powerful story about a subject that is very much part of the real world.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: a sweet story Review: This was a sweet X-Men novel, especially if you are a fan of the Rogue and Gambit relationship. It had some nice moments for them and also showed the team acting like a family who care, support, and give advice to each other as well as fight and argue. There is a sense of realism mixed with the fantasy, and the book is hard to put down or forget. The reader can easily be drawn into the situations of Rogue and Gambit and Wolverine and the man he is trying to reunite with his son. Ann Nocenti is a wonderful author and should be commended for her work on this book.
