Summary: A novel harmonizing science, religion and philosophy.
Review: A story encompassing science, philosophy and religion and using the science fiction genre as a vehicle, "The Seven Circles" is the account of a 20th century man who is cryonically frozen and is awoken in the 500th century when spiritual reality has been proven to be a fact. This future world is the Era of Light and Life, a time when mankind has evolved to a higher state.

William Drake, the protagonist from the 20th century, finds that his entire view of existence has been turned upside down. Spiritual reality being accepted as fact by all, he comes to realize that his values are completely irrelevant and that his competitive attitude gained through living in the 20th century dog-eat-dog environment is a barbaric anachronism. That being the case, he is surprised to find that his company is desired by many just for the reason that his, by comparison, savage qualities are rare and gives the people the opportunity to "turn the other cheek" when faced with his behavior and thereby gain spiritual growth from the experience.

The downside is that he is not allowed complete freedom until he has progressed in his own self-mastery through the conquest of the "the Seven Circles" of spiritual, intellectual and material attainment - a daunting challenge for anyone, much less an atheist.

Written in the first person, the narrative of William Drake tells of his falling in love with the person who had revived him, Sheila, and of his own spiritual uplift and downfall as he encounters a myriad of personalities, celestial and human, and undergoes transforming experiences that make his soul evolve in cosmic growth.

Summary: Way to go, Richard.
Review: I enjoyed "The Seven Circles" -- read it on a two day train trip. The story itself is intriguing but for me the most interesting part was how the author's imagination filled out concepts in The Urantia Book that I'd not considered. The Urantia Book is loaded with facts -- turning those facts into an effective story requires an imagination that helps to lift the facts into a realm of experience easy to relate to. "The Seven Circles" did just that.

Summary: Storytelling at its Best
Review: I enjoyed the story and the action, but also the lessons taught through the experiences of the characters. The concept that minaturization could create devices to provide humans with whatever they desire is, actually, quickly becoming reality. Still, until I read this book I didn't consider the implications of such technology. I also found it interesting how people living on earth 50,000 years from now would view the people of today (basically, as animals with uncontrollable tempers and ego). In short, this is a good read with an excellent series of messages that many people who are otherwise not interested in spiritual matters will find intrigueing. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Exciting, Inventive Journey !
Review: Richard has taken us to what could be our future! He is very creative and inventive in the presentation of the technology he envisions for us. This novel really shows how far we have to go till we reach "light and Life" . I would reccomend the novel as a "Refreshing" vision of the future, Where God, Science, and Humanity merge into a wonderful existence. "The Seven Circles" proves that a good story doesn't need to be blood, guts and gore..

Positive is good, and Richard proves it here!

Summary: A peak into the future
Review: The Seven Circles is a wonderfully written book. The author has artfully incorporated Urantia Book concepts and teachings into this imaginative work of science fiction. Omura's characters are full of energy and enthusiasm, setting the stage for a futuristic tale with the main character (a spiritual Neanderthal from the 20th century) landing on earth 50,000 years into the future. From here the ride becomes one fraught with learning the nuances of the time and the problems associated with having this spiritually depraved individual return in a time of advanced spirituality which by now has been proven scientifically. Creating a captivating novel from spiritually based concepts and teachings is an art form which Richard S. Omura has masterfully accomplished.

The Seven Circles is a must read for anyone who is a lover of science fiction and interested in finding out more about the teachings of The Urantia Book.

Summary: An outstandingly great read!
Review: The Seven Circles was a great read. I found myself constantly wondering where the author was getting all his imaginative ideas about future technologies, social and all kinds of stuff, including reflections on spirituality and wisdom. I kept thinking about what a great movie it would make. I've been lending my copy out to friends, as it's one of the few best books I've read. I could really relate to the characters and couldn't put it down.

A friend who I wanted to lend the book to asked me if they had to read The Urantia Book in order to understand this book. My reply was "definetly not", though reading Richard's book probably will make a person want to eventually read The Urantia Book.

Summary: Spiritual Genius
Review: This book captivates a spiritual cadence so deep and profound I could not put it down. A brilliant participator in a futuristic world where light emerges so graciously on a baby soul of sorts. I recommend this read for all interested in an evolutionary experience beyond the scope of most science fiction...
