Rating: Summary: Star Wars at its best! Review: George Lucas sanctioned Brian Daley to write these pre-Star Wars tales. Daley explorese the unique relationship that Han Solo and Chewbacca share in a story that is filled with action, humor and good ol' fashioned heroism. Han Solo is a rogue character--an outlaw smuggler who may appear rough on the outside, but who really has a heart of gold. For anyone who enjoys Star Wars and desires to learn Han Solo's early history--try this book.
Rating: Summary: Good book, but could be better. Review: I read this book as I trip passtime. I soon was deep into it, and I couldn't/wouldn't put it down. I liked Chewbacca, Hasti and the little Ruurian. I liked the descriptions, and how the author knew how to describe just how shifty Gallandro the Gunman was. But I didn't think that this book was a good as it could be, though I don't know what told me. I liked it enough, however, that I wanted to check out the others. I was disappointed to see that the library didn't have it. I wish that a ten-year-old like me could get the rest of the series.
Rating: Summary: Sci Fi circa 1980. Review: Many genre's suffer from the downgrading of their literature from the height of Top Sellerdom to the racks of Young Adult fiction. Jules Verne, HG Wells, and now the Star Wars and Star Trek novels are falling into this abyss. This and the other Star Wars add-on novels were fine when first printed. But are now the type of books that young adult readers even find boring. Very light reading for the Star Wars fan.
Rating: Summary: Fine Star Wars fiction Review: Solo and Chewbacca embark on yet another adventure. This book is woven into the Crispin / Daley web of Trilogies. You may need a chart to keep track of timelines of all 6 stories. But a good read.

Rating: Summary: A good book by the master. Review: This book helped me understand why Han Solo acted the way he did in the original trilogy. Also, note that besides the novelizations, it was out before most other Star Wars books.\ This is a great buy, and if you get it, enjoy.
Rating: Summary: The First Battle Droids! Review: This book was pretty good. One of the best parts was that it introduced the first battle droids. Well according to the Star Wars timeline The Phantom Menace had the first, but this book was published almost 20 years before it was put out.
Rating: Summary: This is defenetly a good Series and book Review: This is a very good book and series. Brian Daley did not incorperate the rest of the Trilogy because it happened before the Trilogy. I guesss from reading the other reveiws people did not pick up on this. It really is a good book it helpes explain how and why Han acts the way he did. Just to let you know this was the first Trilogy about Han with in it. The other one happens first and I would reccomend that one instead. (They are Han Solo the Early Years: The Paridise Snare; Han Solo the Early Years: The Hutt Gambit; Han Solo the Early Years: Rebel Dawn) The last one (Han Solo the Early Years: Rebel Dawn) coincides with this trilogy, and references it. So in conclusion this is a good book and if you do not see teh tie-ins with the trilogy it is because they are non-existent and this happened before the Trilogy
Rating: Summary: For when you're really, really, really in the mood. Review: This is kind of a poorly written book that had a thrown together feel and misses Chewie's character. Chewie seems a bit snide, and slow. Also, Solo treats him like the slave he most certainly is not. I did not enjoy the plot line, which felt cobbled together at times. If you like Han, then read The Courtship of Princess Leia. Leave this one on the shelf.
Rating: Summary: The Falcon is hijacked in the corporate sector Review: This is the third story of the Brian daley trilogy. Brian also did the radio dramas but sadly died before seeing the expanded universe explode into what it has become. He is the first EU novelists. My favorite of the Daley trilogy is Han solo's Revenge. Second is HS at Stars End (which is also available is a Dark horse comic). Lost legacy is my least favorite of the three stories, but it is still a good read. One vacation I read in order the first 2 AC Crispen novels of the Han solo trilogy. Then I read the daley trilogy and concluded with the last of the Crispen trilogy, Rebel Dawn. AC Crispen did a good job writing his trilogy as he accommodated the Daley books.
