Rating: Summary: From the Author. Review: Battlecruiser: Prototype is the first of seven novels that are currently in production for publication. This first novel unites the unique crew of the Battlecruiser Pegasus on their maiden voyage. But, the first cruise of this particular warship is anything but normal. Before you even know it, this crew will be in harm'w way to stop an intergalactic war, fighting their battles on their own. It is the first mission for a galaxy on the brink of war, a Commander scarred by combat, and a starship destined for legend...
Rating: Summary: Entertaining. Review: I found this book extremely entertaining. Once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. It reminded me a lot of one of my favorite books, Steve Perry's 'Aliens vs. Predator: Prey' in that it doesn't take long for the action to start and once it starts, it goes on for the rest of the book. You get just enough personal information about the main characters to tell them apart and to care about them. The author doesn't waste time recounting the characters' childhood traumas and personal motivations and such; the focus is on the story, and it's a pretty good one. He also doesn't go on and on with technical detail. He identifies a weapon, what its function is, and then it gets put into action, usually blowing something, or someone, to pieces. This book is about the action. I can't wait for the next book.
