Review: After actually flying a Pyro-GX for 3+ years in these infested mines I can state with authority that Peter Telep does an exceptional job relaying the challenges I face as a PTMC contractor. His description of the Robot vermin I (and the rest of the Descent Rangers) encounter (and eradicate) is accurate, especially when describing the intelligence that these machines possess. If you have not experienced the unique and challenging futuristic world of Descent, I would like to strongly suggest that you pick up a copy of Telep's book, and also visit Interplay.com to find out how you can obtain your very own Pyro-GX spacecraft. If you want to actually experience the space fiction yourself, this is the way to do it. Hopefully there will be a movie made about Descent. -Swazook (from the Descent Rangers)

Review: For the past few years I've commonly associated Telep with fantasy thanks in part to his great Squire trilogy. This book was recently suggested for my reading pleasure. I must admit that I was skeptic at first that it would be as good as his other books. Also note that I hadn't read the first book of the Descent series so I was unfamiliar with the current plot and relationship between the characters. However, after reading the first few chapters I couldn't set the book down! I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who appreciates science fiction of any degree. I know that I'll be looking forward to October when the next book comes out!

Review: I am amazed. Most writers that make sequels to books end up completley ruining the second book and basically destroying any chanses the series has for a 3rd book. I expected the same when I read this one. I was completley wrong. This book is even better then the first! I was really able to connect with the main charachters better in this one yet it still had all the action a book needs to keep its reader from falling asleep. Definatley buy this one! It's worth it!

Review: I just finished this book last night. The last 40 pgs are so good I stayed up WAY past when I was planning on putting it down. At first I was skeptical of this bood. After all, how can a decent story be written about a computer game? Well, I was proven wrong. Everything was great about this book. Picture-perfect descriptions of settings, a winding, multi-dimentional plot (best part) which was one of the best ever, and fantastic character descriptions make this book worth the time and money. THE NEXT BOOK WILL KICK A$$, the plot will be even more developed, and will tie in to Descent3's already awesome plot.

Review: It takes talent to create a believeable tale from a computer game. Even if that game is as rich and immersive as the Descent series is. Peter Telep has that talent and has again allowed us to suspend all disbelief and sit in a shrieking Pyro-GX mine hunter with adrenaline pumping as the lasers stab and the missles fly through the dark corridors of the PTMC mines. AAAARRRRRGGGHHH Whooooo!!! I can't wait for the next in the series.

Review: It's been almost two years since I bought this book, I've finally taken the time to write a review. All there really is to say is that this book is great. The first one was great, this one is great, and the third is great as well. Buy them all, read them all. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
