Rating: Summary: It dares to be sweet Review: Sweet and genuinely romantic ... neither are hip in today's world and yet this book is unabashadely, successfully both. A slim volume, it concentrates on feelings and values. It takes its time making its points and we enjoy the journey it takes to get to those points. Yes, the overall message is a familair one. Yet most of us still don't get it, so it bears repeating. And yes, one of the main characters -- and story catalysts -- is a cat. I was amused by the reviewer who gave this a negative review because he wasn't a cat person. Um ... the subtitle of the book is "A love story." What did he expect?
Rating: Summary: a book about love and hope and seeing below the surface Review: The Bachelor in the title gets some love in his life because he's finally willing to give some love. His reward for taking in the cat-apart from the sheer pleasure of having a cat around-is a clarity of insight that lets him get on to the next level in his life. I wish all my readers a Bachelor's Cat in their lives.
Rating: Summary: A tender, heart-tugging, love story. Review: The Bachelor's Cat made me remember why I love cats so much. They have a way of turning your life around just because they're there. From the first day that Frankie the cat meets the Bachelor, life for the man changes. In quick order he asks himself, "Why can't women be more like cats?" It's not long before he realizes it's not women who are the problem. Not only did THE BACHELOR'S CAT make me remember why I love cats, but it reminded me of the simply, rare gift of every day.
Rating: Summary: A beautiful book Review: This is a lovely story of a cat, a single man and the woman he meets. Lynn Hoffman's deft touch will help you feel every word.
Rating: Summary: A "novel" love story. Review: This is a story you have not heard before. A young man learns the meaning of love thanks to a feline friend who helps him see what is really important in life. It's a simple read but the lesson is monumental.
Rating: Summary: Sweet, funny and romantic. Review: This is the tale of a cat who helps a man realize the true meaning of love. But don't let the "love story" label put you off - this isn't a "romance novel." Very true to life and insightful, I recommend it especially to lonely guys with cats. And maybe their girlfriends, too.
Rating: Summary: Great tale ... Review: What a great book! Cat lovers everywhere need to read this
Rating: Summary: A classic love story for all generations Review: What a great book! If you like love stories or cat stories, or even if you don't, you'll love this book! I recommend it to all readers, and the great thing about this book is that you can read it in one sitting. It's truly enjoyable, and the plot is so clear that even a child could grasp it. I definitely recommend this to everyone!
Rating: Summary: Definitely a book for every cat lover to read and cherish. Review: When I was checking this out at thelibrary, the librarian asked meif I was a cat lover. "Yes" I told her, and she told me i was going to love the book. She was right. I rarely cry when reading but I cried often with this moving little tale. I wanted to share with the author so many times that I too have that special chemistry with my cats, Moo-Moo, and Founder, and I know all he felt with his little Frankie. This book is truly a treasure for any animal lover to find.
