Summary: Ssslllloooowwww
Review: This book was a little slow for me at times, or boring. I must confess, I never finished it. But when I read a book I don't like I always seem to remember all the parts that I DID like. Some fave details were the 'philtrum' myth. You know that little thing above you lip and below your nose? Well you supposedly get it before birth when an angel presses her finger there and says 'shh' to keep you from telling the secrets of the world. Bently doesn't have one. One of my fave characters was Slally, the girl who talked in gibberish. Well, Bently UNDERSTOOD her gibberish. I never finshed the book but near the end I saw a sentence that added suspense to the book. I won't tell you what it is though. :) But I've seen good reviews for this book. Some like it, I didn't. Whether or not you like this book depends on your taste in style of writing. So it could be your fave food or that yucky stuff that Mom insists that you'll love and 'eat it up now you'll thank me later.'

Summary: It was fantastic!

Summary: One of the Best
Review: This is one of my favorite books! I loved it! Prince Ombra is about a boy named Bentley whose life is very different. He has extraordinary powers and the way the author incorporates things from our world is incredible! Also, the book has tons of little details that all make sense at the end. Bentley is an amazing character and seems so lifelike, especially since his life is hard.
Some parts of the book were kind of scary, but overall it was very thrilling. Willybill, another character, is mysterious throughout the entire stroy but at the end is presence is greatly needed. He is just one character that makes the book intersting.
Again, I loved this book and i wish all stories were this good!

Summary: This is the best book I have ever Read!!!
Review: This is the best book I have ever read! I love all the references to mythology and the depth of the characters. The characters are so well written that buy they the end of the book they seem like real people who you've known your whole life. I loved the plot of A little boy being a warrior of the borrowed heart and having been all the great heros of the world in his past lives. This book is the classic good versus the shapeless evil. I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS TO ANYONE AND EVERYOONE NO MATTER YOUR AGE! THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!!

Summary: Unbelievably Good and Under-Advertised
Review: While some ads have likened this book to a cross between J.R.R. Tolkien, H.P. Lovecraft and Piers Anthony I found it to be closer to Ray Bradbury and some Stephen King.

Good and Evil have fought many times. Sometimes Good has won and sometimes Evil has. The time is fast approaching for the one-thousandth battle. A young boy will be the champion for Good. He remembers all that has occurred in these battles of the past. To prepare for his own battle he will have to find a teacher. Then he will have to steel himself to face the champion of Evil which will take the form of that which he fears the most.

As this secret war develops in a small American town we are given small glimpses of how the town, and the world in general, are being affected by the struggle. Eventually the final conflict occurs. I will not say how the battle goes or what the representative of Evil is, you'll just have to read it.

PRINCE OMBRA, while being a tale of Good vs. Evil, is also an interesting look into history. The book makes some very interesting points, including the true nature of Arthur and Excalibur. I have recommended this book to quite a number of people over the years and all who took my advice enjoyed it. It truly is one of the superior fantasy novels.
