Review: One can learn from this tale as well as enjoy it. Most stories don't sneak in as much detail about pieces of armor, clothing, period foods, etc. Lots of factual information was tucked into the story in such a natural way that one can learn something new while enjoying the flow of the storyline. Ms. Lahmann draws one into her tale with her descriptive prose, making the reader part of the scene, easily seeing the surroundings and feeling the emotions of her characters.A pleasant surprise was in finding depth to the character of the Green Knight and his lady. I fully expected to despise both, but found them intriguing and worthy of my interest. Other characters piqued my interest as well, as none were perfect, either as heros or villains. Ms. Lahmann touched upon the complexities of human morality in a very natural way, which made her characters very believable. Lots of twists and turns that keep the reader cheering for Sir Gawaine and his loyal brother in their quest to maintain chivalry and honor despite the impossible challenge tossed out by the Green Knight.

Review: This book was hard to put down. The author did her homework. She went into so much detail throughout the book with her characters and the story, very entertaining. It is a wonderful book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend it highly.
