Rating: Summary: A Fresh Look Review: = A Fresh Look Reviewer: Blue from California . . . The Quest gives to this famous legend the type of characterization the American reader has come to expect from modern fiction. The blend of tradition with refreshing looks into the whys and hows of Sir Gawaine in his trek to find the mysterious Green Knight opens vistas of understanding and empathy over the long year it takes for Sir Gawaine to fulfill his obligation, the whole time realizing the conflict between his faith and the smack of suicide in this obligation. Tenaciously he holds to his trust in the values of the Round Table. The legend is given fuller life by the introduction Sir Geharis, Sir Gawaine's brother and his determined quest to protect his brother, and of Sir Lancelot (Actually of French tradition and interlaced into the legends much later than Sir Gawaine, the foremost Knight of the Round Table of the earliest legends). This wholeness of thought brings depth to the story and appeases the range of readers from the legend investigating to the old stalwart of tradition. A great read with characters that come to life as in no other version read by this reviewer. What will the sequel be like? We have characters come to life. Tell us more.

Rating: Summary: what is with this..? Review: As the other 2 reviewers have said, this book is total waste of time and money. You know there is 1 thing good about it, and that is for firewood. I suggest a new line of work.-Jake
Rating: Summary: Good Work Review: Hello. I thought the story was wonderful. i don't know what the other person was talking about, I believe it's some immature brat that has some grudge against you. Anyway, I loved it, keep on writing! And keep on being the great teacher you are.
Rating: Summary: wtf is this Review: I am a LARGE fan of the aurther ledgons and this is NOTHING like my understanding of the story. I was upset by the way the plot went together and i do think it could have followed a more practical way. Although i think its horrible i recommend you write on a different subject for the sake of Aurther and his ledgons. -Thanks

Rating: Summary: I thought it blew Review: i have read Aurthor legend books and this one is like soooooooo lame. I threw the book in the trash. I could have been eating sktittles, but noooooo, I wasted my time on that piece of toilet paper. I wish i was able to put no stars on that book but oh well 1 is still low enough.
Rating: Summary: horse lady Review: I truley loved this book. The author brought the characters to life, and made me care what happened to them. It was well written, and a lot of research went into setting the scenes for that time period. I found it a lot better than a lot of books being written today, truly a book that all the family can read and enjoy. I am waiting for the next one...
Rating: Summary: Nice Review: Nice work. Very well done. I enjoyed the story very much. Don't let that other review get you down, it's probably some immature brat for a student that has some sort of grudge against you. IT WAS GOOD! Write more books, you are very very talented!
Rating: Summary: Well Researched Review: One can learn from this tale as well as enjoy it. Most stories don't sneak in as much detail about pieces of armor, clothing, period foods, etc. Lots of factual information was tucked into the story in such a natural way that one can learn something new while enjoying the flow of the storyline. Ms. Lahmann draws one into her tale with her descriptive prose, making the reader part of the scene, easily seeing the surroundings and feeling the emotions of her characters. A pleasant surprise was in finding depth to the character of the Green Knight and his lady. I fully expected to despise both, but found them intriguing and worthy of my interest. Other characters piqued my interest as well, as none were perfect, either as heros or villains. Ms. Lahmann touched upon the complexities of human morality in a very natural way, which made her characters very believable. Lots of twists and turns that keep the reader cheering for Sir Gawaine and his loyal brother in their quest to maintain chivalry and honor despite the impossible challenge tossed out by the Green Knight.
