Rating: Summary: Great product, great value Review: I absolutely love products like this. Basically, it describes a very detailed village (of Halflings), and has an adventure to go along with it. It's not the deepest adventure in the world, but it's fairly open ended, the players can solve it in a number of ways. What makes it brilliant, is that if you ever need to come up with an adventure quick, you can just use this, and change a few things. I've used the same basic village and adventure in games like Stargate to Star Wars to my own game world. It's also got a lot of GMing advice for people new to the hobby, and it's got a lot of extra d20 rules, like additional core classes. Well done ones. And unlike most Mystic Eye Games products, the layout in this is actually great. Pretty snazzy looking.
Rating: Summary: Need a fleshed out small town? Review: This product is one of the best purchases I've made for D&D 3.0 or 3.5 . The book contains a small Hamlet full of halflings, some of you might be thinking "halflings? pass" well you'd be missing out on a wonderful product. Each inhabitant is fully stated out. All their motovations, sample conversations, and secrets. The small Hamlet is being besieged by nightly visits of small creepy creatures. The party May opt to help the Hamlet with their problem, or just hang around and visit. If the hero role isn't your kind of game, you can play the part of the antagonists. All of the adversaries are also stated out, as is their home. Their are also option rules on three new core classes: Witch, Shaman, and Cavalier. With new spells, a reputation tracking mechanism, DM tips which can be applied to any fantasy game. This product is high on roleplaying and people geared toward these kind of games will love this product. DMs looking for a place to drop into their own campaigns will find this product perfectly. I recomdend this product to all D20 fantasy gamers.
