Rating: Summary: Champions of the Crown Review: After reading this book all I can say is "FANTASTIC". David certainly sets the standard for a first works. Definitely a winner. His genuine mastery with swordsmanship is obvious in the battles and provides a great deal of realism not normally found in many of today's "Contemporary" authors. I found the story to be fast paced and a wild ride from the beginning. I especially appreciated his thoughtful use of prose and witty commentary. I look forward to reading his next book "Immortal Blade".

This book captures the feel of its world, and carries the tone of adventure imbued with high purpose from beginning to end. And by the end you know there is a great deal more to this world that you have not yet seen. This is a story that grows on you as you travel with its characters while they seek to overcome evil against all odds. Whether quivering with unspoken feelings of love or dashing their way through battle, their poignancy and humor and simple lust for life will invigorate the reader's imagination. Rating: Summary: A Great Fantasy Novel Review: I tried to read this book slowly- about a chapter a day, but it engrossed me so much that I couldn't put it down. It was a great deal of fun to read and the story kept me on the edge of my seat. I would love to see it made into a movie.
Rating: Summary: Great fantasy book! Review: This book was recommended by a friend so I reluctantly picked it up. Happily, it turned out to be a great investment. It wasn't too long or too short, it was packed with action, surprise, thought provoking moments, and laughter. It grabbed my attention and held on to it throughout the book. Some of the things I enjoyed are the characters that are masters with the arrow, the characters that are masters with the sword, the alien race, the hot chick, and the "gems" that I can't talk about so I don't spoil it. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Rating: Summary: Did I Read a Different Book? Review: Wow, from the reviews posted here of this book, I eagerly downloaded it and dove right into it. Talk about hitting a rock when you were expecting water! This is by far one of the worst fantasy books I've ever read! First off, there were a number of spelling and punctuation errors (who edited the manuscript!?). The characters were boring and UN-original, the dialog was atrocious and I did not care a single bit for anyone. The worst part is how CONVENIENTLY the author bails out his crew from major situations. There was no creativity AT ALL!!!! (what happened Mr. Kong? Was your muse drunk or just plain lazy?) It drove me nuts!!! It's like a captured cowboy about to be scalped but then BAM! the Star Ship Enterprise beams him up to safety, arms him with a phaser, then beams him back to do battle with indians armed only with bows and arrows. Seriously! If you have read any decent fantasy novels, DO NOT read this book unless you want to be force-fed fantasy feces. I want my freaken $6 back!!!!
