Summary: a gem of classic sf literature
Review: This is an amazing story, sort of a modern American version of Dr. Faustus. I read many of Horace L. Gold's works, and this is probably his single most important work, it reads exceptionally well. A timeless piece! Highly recommended, not only for SF-buffs. I can't believe this book has been out of print for so long...
