Summary: It makes perfect sense to me
Review: I hope the author's off by about fifty years if any of the things he says will happen actually do. I'll more than likely be dead by then so it won't really matter. I had to tank at least one star for leaving me in a lurch at the end. But I'll definitely spring for the sequel. I think this would make a helluva movie provided parts two and three keep up the pace.

Summary: My vote for Mr. Furland as the "Author of the Year".
Review: I love a good book; however, this book far exceeded my expectations. Very well written with a story that may not be too far from the truth. This has got to be a best seller this year. I will definitely read this one again to ensure I absorb it all. I sincerely hope that this is the first of 3 novels - I'll go out of my way to be first in line to purchase these other two books! Please tell me that there is going to be a movie based on this outstanding novel!! Please buy this book - you'll truly enjoy it.

Summary: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid
Review: I normally do not write reviews, but I had to share this with other potential readers. This book was well writted and descriptive with an interesting premise, and interesting characters. I found myself wondering if it was really fiction. The idea that the government will have so much control over us in the near future is a very, very frightening thought. The technology that is developing today could make this work of fiction a reality. This book is not for the faint of heart, or those who do not want to put much thought into their future. This book is for the liberty fighters across the nation, who feel that the government already has enough control.

Summary: Hoping for a sequel
Review: I read this book sometime in 1999, and I found it absolutely convincing. So much so that I consider it almost inevitable that what the book predicts will come to pass. There was enough left hanging at the end that I am sure a sequel was planned. I'll be buying the sequel as soon as it comes out. There are some very strange negative reviews here of this book. Ignore them. This book is definitely worth reading.

Summary: smashing
Review: I think Mr. Furlands' book is right on track. They are gathering information on us now. Passing laws getting us closer and closer to disarmament. I found his book very informative and it had some good action in it too. Wish I could read the other 2 books in the series, but I guess they are coming soon.

Summary: Telling the truth for once
Review: I was stunned at how much sense this book makes. I kept leafing forward and backwards looking for a flaw in logic or some back door that would demolish this book's central premise: the digital economy will arrive and as soon as it does our freedom will depart. I want to see where the intrepid Mr Furland takes us in the next installment. This little utopia tale will kick you into a higher state of awareness everytime you read a paper, magazine or surf the internet looking for news.

Summary: A must read book for all informed patriots
Review: I will never see the world quite the same way. "Transfer" is a chilling, frightening look at what the governments new digital currency will mean to all of us. I implore everyone to read this book, afterall, like it or not, we will all be affected. forewarned is forearmed. Spread the word.

Summary: "Transfer" is a future history of the USA circa 2008.
Review: It has been noted that humor, to be truly funny, must have an element of truth. I would add that fiction, to be truly terrifying must pass the same test.

"Transfer" is a fictional account of America in the first decade of the new millennium. An America where privacy has been sacrificed to convenience and liberty traded for security. Such bargains as we allow in the present become the very chains that will enslave us tomorrow.

The end of the beginning is where we will be. Unfortunately, the end of the beginning will, almost certainly, be too late.

"Transfer" is the first book of a three volume series

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good read, highly recommended, looking for a sequel.
Review: Just finished reading Transfer. Rewarding, enlightening, and a bit scary. Been in technology and Corporate America most of my 53 years. If anyone doubts something like this can happen, they should think again. Sure hope a sequel can give us a light at the end.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: TRANSFER makes us wonder, "what if"!
Review: Mr. Furland has written a very thought provoking and scary story. Is this where the U.S. and the entire world are headed? Could this scenario really be the way of the future? I'm anxiously waiting for the sequel to this book.
