Summary: Hell Of A Book! Welcome to Descent.. Prepare for the Worst!
Review: -Strap those Shakers into your pyro, load that Gauss cannon! PREPARE FOR DESCENT!-

Descent is one of the BEST books I have ever read. Being an addicted Descent player and having a site about Descent, I felt compelled to read it as soon as I heard it existed! Its really detailed, and gives me a new feel for the Descent world, now when I play the game, I always sorta think of it as a story :)

I read it in 3 days, and cant wait for Stealing Thunder!!

Even if you havnt ever played the game, its so descriptive that you wont miss a thing!

I recommend this book to any serious Descenter or someone just looking to read a GREAT Sci-Fi Book!

Amazing Book, Congrats and Thanks, Peter!

Summary: One of the best books I have read!
Review: A great book. On mines in other planets, robots contracted a computer virus. Two people who hate eachother go to a mine with 2 spaceships that have awesome weapons. Then one man has a heart-attack. And the man with the chips in his had was controlled and forced to crash his plane. And I'm not going to tell you how they make it out with some human survivers.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: As a fan of the game, I was delighted to discover a book. Mr. Telep is a new author for me, and I was not disappointed.
His main characters could have used a little more developing, but they still became real as the book progressed.
The ethereal "Programmers" desire to understand humans by "afflicting" the drones with personality was a surprise. I am eager to see how this develops.
All in all, a very enjoyable few hours. I will be searching for more of Mr. Telep's books.

Summary: One hell of a book. Prepare for Descent!
Review: As a long time Descent player, and as someone who just generally enjoys a good sci-fi read, I highly recommend the Descent novel from Peter Telep.

Anyone who has played Descent before will immediately identify with the book, though it's written well enough that those who haven't played the game won't have any trouble following along. The author obviously did his homework, and the novel reflects the feel and attitude of the game wonderfully. Every few pages, I found myself grinning as the book precisely mirrored the same sentiments I had while playing the game.

Any true Descent fan MUST buy this book. And so should anyone else who enjoys sci-fi. This is a fun, entertaining read that won't disappoint.

Summary: Excellent
Review: As a science fiction combat author myself, I can safely say that Peter has "captured the spirit." I truely found myself enthralled with the story and action. Furthermore, I could relate, having piloted my trusty Pyro-GX into the unknown depths of the PTMC hell for a number of years. Kudos to Peter for job well done and a successful story!

Review: Benjamin St. John is a veteran Marine flyer who finds himself with a medical discharge after being wounded in the line of duty. Now in need of a job and wanting to prove he's still the best, he accepts an important mission in hopes of being reinstated. Unfortunately, there are a few problems with the deal, he has to work with a man he detest, he can't trust the people's working for and he suspects his mind might not be totally his own, literally. Their mission is to rescue some scientist from a Lunar Outpost which is in the grips of an unknown menace which has converted their own creations into duplicates of the deadliest foe known to man, man himself!!!

Summary: Awesome...
Review: Definately one of the most interesting and entertaining books I've read. Mr. Telep took a good story and turned it into a great story. If you've played the game you will love it. If you haven't played the game you'll still love it. I had never read a book that was based on a video game that wasn't real bad... until this one. This guy has some serious story telling talent. And I'll snatch up the next book in the series as soon as it's released. Great Job!

Summary: This is an exciting book. I would recommend it to sci-fiers.
Review: Descent is a great book. A Fast-paced,adrenaline- pumping action novel, it is the ideal sci-fi book. Benjamin St. John has nothing left to lose... except his life, when he descends into mine MN0012, to stop the spread of a computer virus. He'll get out..... or die trying.....

Summary: Descent: The great book about the great game
Review: Descent is by far the best book I have ever read. Peter did a very good job with his suspense and keeping the reader in. I, myself, am not an avid reader by any means, but I had a hard time keeping myself from reading even 70 pages at a time. I loved Peter's excellent descriptions. I got a whole new view on the robots and their view on the situation. Even Peter's changes to the storyline were a good thing because then you wouldn't really know what would happen next, which added to the suspense. I think it was a good idea adding other characters to the plot like Sierra Taurus, Frank Jewelbug; and he kept some of the "good ol'" characters like Samuel Dravis Jr. I give this book a 5 star rating.
