Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A decent Shadowrun sourcebook
Review: The bulk of the book is well writen and gives you info on strange beast's like the Megaldon, or the "Man of the Woods" It is a first gen book so be warned some of the info is out of date

Summary: Great for guidelines, horrible for realistic specifics.
Review: This is a great idea that wasn't very well thought out. It uses the same sort of archetypal explanations which are the trademark of our great game of Shadowrun, but the problem is that too many monsters, especially the larger ones, simply don't have enough detail to them. The biggest example is the Juggernaut which looks impressive on paper, but my God! Any small group of characters could take one down with upper middle class ammo. The things size makes little melee weapons useless, yet you could supposedly kill one with a bowie knife with enough di-koting!!! Get the book, but be prepared to make lots of little side notes on almost all of the monsters.

Summary: Beasties to expand your runners nightmares
Review: Tired of living inside the shadows of the Urban sprawl? Want to bring something from outside to the nightmare of neon lights. Forget going to the zoo chummer, this text will allow you to have a few of the un-naturals feeling right at home inside those hallowed walls of the city. Or for the more adventurous of you it will allow your characters fleeing the city to find adventure out in the open.
This sourcebook includes habitats, cycles, and the attitudes of over 80 new creatures! The size comparisons and regional maps are a huge benefit, not to mention some outstanding drawings. Very thorough, and a pleasure to read.
