Rating: Summary: Too much to pay Review: This indeed should have been a short story - I feel like I have been cheated to pay the price for a book 156 pages long, in 14 point type with every other page a poorly drawn picture. At first I thought its a children's book and I made a mistake in buying it, then the subject matter is not children's material. I purchased this book on my faith in Anne mcCafrey. I will not make that mistake again with any publisher/book.
Rating: Summary: Um....Interesting, to say the least Review: This is one of the _weirdest_ books I've ever read. I'm a big McCaffrey fan, so it's absolute blasphemy to denounce it...suffice to say it could have been longer.
Rating: Summary: :P Review: This must have been a very VERY old book of hers. Really very short, inadequate description, sorry storyline. Confusing and sleep-inducing. Not a good buy, expecially seeing the actual length of the story.
Rating: Summary: Cute, but had more potential... Review: This should have been a short story for one of her anthologies...like "the Thorns of Bavari". There was a lot of potential, not only with the main humanoids, but the Coelura as well. It was a cute, quick read, but NOT enough to pay the price of a paperback today.
Rating: Summary: I wish this book were longer... Review: Written as a novella (a cross between a novel and a short-story) the biggest problem with this book is that it's too short. The Coelura is well written with a great plot, but I want to see more. Perhaps someday Anne will continue this story. Anne did eventually write more about this particular "universe" in "Nimisha's Ship", but set far into the future.
