Rating: Summary: Page Burner Review: What a page burner! Thomas Parks draws his characters so well I felt as though I could invite Barnes and Sullivan home for dinner (minus the weapons, of course). Each time I felt Barnes had faced the last of his ordeals, the author kicked it up another notch. I finished the book in three days and then hated to see it end. The next step should be a movie script. Someone ought to send the book to Mel Gibson, it's definitely his type of material.I'll be watching for Mr. Parks next book with great anticipation.

Rating: Summary: Gripping Review: What a story premise! A man taken from his comfort zone and put into circumstances beyond comprehension. The characters jump out from the pages. They are alive and will not be easily be forgotten. A remarkable effort for a first time author.
Rating: Summary: Distant Crossing not so distant Review: What a wonderful read, it makes one ponder where we stand, could a financial meltdown occur in the worlds largest economy, or is it just waiting to happen! Could we survive without our plastic, what are the implications of being viod of cash, this is examined against a backround of gut wrenching violence as the main character travels home. Jim Barnes is alive, he could be anyone of us, just an ordinary bloke struggling to reunite with his family amidst the greatest catastrophe of modern times. Read this book and you might just decide to bury some cash in the backyard!
Rating: Summary: Couldn't Get Enough! Review: Wow! I just finished this book after only 3 sittings and was amazed at just how involved I was with the characters. This "fictional" story and the events that unfold reveal some very chilling and sobering thoughts. I couldn't help but think "this really could happen" to us. A great action/adventure read that lets up just enough for the reader to catch their breath.
