Summary: Couldn't put it down
Review: I picked up "A Distant Crossing" for a read on a long flight. What a great surprise. An exciting story that I could not put down. Finished late at night in the hotel room. Now I'm trying to put the movie cast together.

Summary: A Distant Crossing
Review: I really enjoyed this book. Action packed! Could happen. Can't wait for the next Thomas Parks book. This one could certainly make an exciting movie.

Summary: MOVE OVER TOM CLANY; THOMAS PARKS HAS ARRIVED
Review: I've read many Tom Clancy books, and Distant Crossing ranks right up there with the best of them. Clancy used his knowledge of the military and world affairs as background for his books. Parks uses his knowledge of the world's monetary system and society's dependency upon credit and its laziness towards the U.S. government's tendency to gradually strip away its citizens'rights as the background for his book. He is probably very eerily accurate in his insightfulness.

The only drawback is how could an accountant turn out to be an Jim Barnes. I could see a purchasing professional. But an accountant?

This book should definitely be a movie with a Mel Gibson as Jim Barnes!

When does Tom Parks write the sequel to this book so we can see how his economic and societal scenario turns out?

Summary: This is one you will not want to put down
Review: If you enjoy reading an action packed book that grabs your interest right from the very beginning and holds it thru to the very end, then I would highly recommend A Distant Crossing. Once I started to read this book I found it very hard to put down. It had the good guys to root for, the villains to dislike, and almost non-stop action.

Summary: Finally!
Review: If you read fiction to be entertained, you will enjoy this book. There is no techno-babble to 'captivate' you with the author's research. You don't have to read the first 175 pages non-stop (although you will) in order to not lose touch with the the varied plot-weavings being developed. This is an entertaining, buckle-your-seat-belt ride, that takes you through all the emotions and 'sides' of one's being. Buy it--read it, and enjoy!

Summary: NOW THAT IS A RIDE!!!
Review: In one word, AMAZED. Being a college student and working full time it is hard for me to take personal time to sit down and read a book. A Distant Crossing was a fast and grabbing read in which kept me wanting more. This book came to me as a strong recomendation from close friends, and I can't thank them enough. Thomas Parks just wrote the most amazing book, and I hope it isn't the last. He is a gifted writer that is going to be BIG soon. You ready for the competition Tom Clancy?

Thanks Mr. Parks

Summary: A Wild Ride
Review: My husband and I just finished reading this book together. As he was reading to me, my mind could easily visualize the scenes. This book was well written, and action packed. We both loved it and want to tell everyone about it. Great!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A little romance and a lot of action.
Review: My husband had me read this book. At first I was skeptical, but really got into it. The love scenes between Jim and Maggie were very erotic, but not vulgar. I especially liked that the women were strong and capable. The violence was necessary because of all the terrible things and people the characters had to deal with. All in all, an entertaining book that also has a message about our rights to say and be who we are.
