Review: this book was incredible. ejd explores the depth of love from all aspects. i felt SO connected to all the characters. i actually visualized the people and felt their happiness, pain, sorrow, and joy. this book had me in love with the idea of being in love. i could not put the book down! i finished in a week flat. i dedicated all my free time to reading it. i finshed it on a saturday morning at 3:47am... i highly recommend this book to all readers and existing ejd fans should definitely have this one under their belt!!!

Review: If you're the type of person that needs closure at the end of a book, this ones for you. Eric Jerome Dickey has done a wonderful job of inviting us the reader into the characters world. Unlike a lot of books, this one has a real life setting and dialuage that is really believable. You won't want to put this one down!

Review: This book was by far the best book he's written. It was very realistic and I could see it as a possible movie. The story was touching. It made you laugh, cry, and get (upset) at the characters. I give this book 5 stars and it is #1 on my choice of books.

Summary: Slow to start, but excellent at the climax
Review: I thoroghly enjoyed this novel. Althought the first few chapters seemed to move slow and were a bit predictable, and slow, the book overall was excellent. With one flip of the script, the book became a page turner. It had me so enthralled that I could not wait until lunch and the end of the work day to see what else would happen. I encourage anyone considering purchasing this book to definitely buy it, sit back and watch the story unfold.

YOU WILL DO THINGS THAT YOU NEVER IMAGINES BOTH GOOD AND BAD BUT YOUR HUMAN AND IF THE LOVE IS THEIR IT'S ALL WORTH IT. WHEN YOU LOVE YOU WILL HURT AT TIMES AND IT WILL BE HARD. Review: The characters stood out alive in my mind, as if I knew them. Each one of their struggles in their relationships, we can relate too. The characters in this story were, lovable, sensitive, caring, selfish, lustful, sexy and intriguing. This book will make you sink your sole into it, not being able to do nothing but finish. The men in this story make your hart skip a beat and the women I related with. I fell in love with Dickey's writing style and can't wait to read one of his next books.

Review: When I read the last line of this novel and closed the cover, I cried. I cried because of the numerous emotions I experience during the reading of this book. I cried because of happiness, sadness, and lost. I cried because the story, which affected me drastically with its realistic characters, was over. Friends and Lovers will make you look at your friends and/or lovers and cherish every moment you have together. It will also allow you to see how background issues can affect a relationship as the characters in this thrilling novel deal with preconceived notions about each other, past hurts, and family problems. Recommendation: You will laugh, cry, scream, cheer, and shout! No one tells a more realistic story than Dickey! But I must warn you that prior to reading this, or any of Dickey's books you need to prep yourself. IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO GO THROUGH A WHIRLWIND OF EMOTIONS, YOU NEED TO SET THE BOOK ASIDE FOR A DAY TO GET YOURSELF TOGETHER! This warning in no way suggests that you should not read the novel because I highly recommend all of Dickey's books I have read to date. They will allow you to see things how they are and call a spade a spade. His novels really have the ability to make you more open-minded by showing a variety of viewpoints. He equally narrates from a male and female viewpoint. He does it so well it is scary. He does not sound like a man telling a woman's story but a woman telling her own story. I do not know how he does it but Dickey does it well. The man gets mad props! His novels read like a drama and make you feel like you are watching a movie as you read. His skillful use of dialog, language, etc. make for the most realistic people you have ever read about in a fiction book. Clearly Dickey has done some real life research. If nothing else, his books will leave you energized and get you to thinking. I am always riled up after reading one of his novels and need to tell someone about it. That is another warning I must give you. YOU CANNOT READ ANY DICKEY BOOK WITHOUT TELLING SOMEONE ABOUT IT! I have read all of Dickey's novels except two, and I haven't been able to do it. I am absolutely positive that the result of trying to do so would either be an explosion or implosion. You cannot read one of his novels and not be emotionally affected. So be sure to heed my warnings, grab your Eric Jerome Dickey novel and get to reading. Believe me you will not be disappointed.

Summary: One of E. Jerome Dickey's best novels
Review: I read 'Friends and Lovers' last year and thought that this was one of his best books (even though I haven't read Cheaters and Sister Sister yet). I liked Milk... better but at least this was better than Liar's Game.I liked the fast, but not too fast plot and the closeness of Tyrel, Shelby, Debra and Leonard and how they interacted with the rest of the more minor characters of the book. I thought it was funny when you find out what became of that Jackson character but was saddened by the tragic and unexpected ending. This is just one more of those drama drama type of books but wasn't so bent out of shape to the point were it didn't make sense and I liked that. Ciao, baby.

Summary: My favorite novel by Dickey to date!
Review: Friends and Lovers is definitely a must read. Who would have thought that such a new novel writer could top his first novel "Sister, Sister" (also a must read). Every character was easy to relate to, and probably like someone you know. It was one of the best books I have read.
