Review: I've read two books by this author and he hasn't let me down yet. Eric is an excellant writer. With ease (through his characters) he has spoken to my heart on many levels. If you have a friend that loves to read - This book would make a wonderful gift. An even better one if you're Friends And Lovers.

Review: After reading Sister, Sister I couldn't wait to read another book by Eric. Brother, this book was so great - it was real, heartwarming and I could relate to it. I appreciate the fact that under the surface of all of us, we have issues and they affect the way we relate to each other. This book deals with our past and present in such an enjoyable way. I can't wait to read another book by Eric - please keep writing!

Review: THIS WAS A GOOD BOOK. I GUESS THE ONE THING THAT I LIKED WAS THAT THE CHARACTERS WERE BELIEVEABLE. THE BEST THING WAS THAT ERIC LISTENED TO WHAT WOMEN SAID AND INCORPORATED THAT INTO HIS CHARACTERS. WHEN I READ A BOOK I ALWAYS READ BETWEEN THE LINES. THIS BOOK SPOKE VOLUMES. GIVING US INSIGHT ON RELATIONSHIPS, LIFE AND DEATH, LETTING GO OF THE PAST AND HOPING FOR THE FUTURE, JUST SHINING LIGHT ON US AND TELLING US WHEN WE ARE WRONG AND WHEN WE ARE RIGHT... AND TELLING ME THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE LIVING, MAKING MISTAKES AND TRYING TO CORRECT THEM. SOMETIMES THE RIGHT WAY AND SOMETIMES.... IT'S NICE TO SEE THAT AFRICAN-AMERICAN MEN DO RESPECT AND UNDERSTAND THEIR WOMEN. THANKS FOR WRITING ABOUT IT BECAUSE FOR SOME WOMEN THIS IS THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY THEY HAVE TO SEE A SENSITIVE AND UNDERSTANDING MAN... IN A BOOK.... EXCELLENT THERAPY.

Review: I just loved this book. I couldn't put it down, I began to see some of my life in this book, and through the tears and looking back on my own life I found closure to my own situation through reading this book. Thanks so much for a writing a book that seemed so real.

Summary: I could not put this book down!!
Review: I bought this book because I enjoyed "Sister, Sister". I didn't think it could get any better. But, this book was excellent!! I liked it because it told the story from all of the characters points of view. Even though it ended on a sad note, it showed that good things sometimes result from bad. I enjoy black authors, but Mr. Dickey has truly one of my favorite. Job well done, and I look forward to the next novel.

Review: Once again, Eric Dickey has tapped into the heart and SOUL of relationships in the '90's! Just as Sister, Sister evoked both tears and laughter, his latest effort; Friends And Lovers continues that winning trend! Reading Eric's book is like visting with old friends, going home, kicking off your shoes and basking in the warmth of family. His characters are 3 dimensional and if it feels as if you know them, it's because you do! He's a master at capturing the essence of your best girl-friend, lover, that guy that dogged you, your momma, and other key players in the cast of characters that make up our own friends and lovers! Eric is the one, the 2, the 3, the 4, AND the first of authors that are TRULY great storytellers! J.R. Burton

Review: I don't know how he does it, but Eric did it again. I know whenever I hear that he has a book out that I will run to the bookstore or the internet and purchase it. He is a very good writer and he touched my heart with each chapter. Keep writing Eric!

Review: This is the best book that I have read this year, and I have read several great books this year. Mr. Dickey is an excellent writer. "Friends and Lovers" is a book that you never want to end. Every emotion imaginable is shown and felt through these four characters. They are so real. If you do not know anyone like them, you would want to know people like them. I can't wait for the next book by Eric J. Dickey!!
