Summary: EXCELLENT BOOK ABOUT PLATONIC/ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS!!!
Review: This was the first book I read of Mr. Dickey's and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The interpersonal relationships and the dialogue were enjoyable and there was even a surprise plot twist in the book that kept the story jumping. I highly recommend this book as a comtemporary story of young African-American fiction of the 1990s.

Review: Eric, you have done it again!!! This was the best story of love and friendship that I have ever read. If you enjoyed Sister, Sister, you will luv this one too. Eric truly knows how to tell a story. His style is unlike any other in this genre and I have read them all. Mr. Dickey is definitely carving a place in history for himself. I look forward to the release of "Milk In My Coffee." Any one of your novels would make excellent movies. KEEP STROKING THE KEYS!!! LUV YOUR WORK!!!

Review: I'm still in the process of reading Friends and Lover, and I love it. I find it very hard to put it down. I relate to the characters and sometimes even feel as if I were in there shoes. Excellent book!

Review: The book was so exciting it had a little bit of everything in it. The characters in the book especially Tyrel seemed so real..Anybody reading this book can see some of them in it. I can hardly wait for the next book to be published maybe a continuation of this one. It was great..hard to read another one after reading this one.

I loved the characters and found myself able to identify with Debra It was as if he knew me personally. Mr. Dickey is definitely in touch with his feminine side. Review: Eric Jerome Dickey could not have done a better job. This novel spoke to ever part of my mind. It was well written and exciting enough to keep me going. I absolutely loved it.

Review: I enjoyed Sister Sister and expected a similiar style of writing but I felt like everyone was talking at once. I am an avid reader, 4-6 books a month, but I forced myself to read half way and couldn't take it anymore. Much success in the future Eric.

Review: I enjoyed Eric's first book Sister Sister. But Friends and Lovers topped even that. The characters are so real and the plot fantastic that I felt pulled into their lives, successes, failures, and tragedies immediately. Debra, Leonard, Tyrel, and Shelby became MY friends. Eric did a great job with this. Thank you for a book that really touched me with much laughter and tears. I can't wait until the next one!
