Summary: SHEER DYNAMITE!
Review: This book was soooo good that I hated for it to end. Those intimate scenes were so real that I could feel myself in them. (Ooooo, Tyrel) My husband wondered what had gotten into me, I had become so lovable. I'm passing this book on to him so that he can see for himself. "Want me to stop?" No,I got more to say. This book evoked all kinds of emotions. It made me want to laugh, "and I did." It made me want to cry, "and I did." "Want me to quit?" No, I still have more to say. I read this book through once, twice, and I'm still reading portions daily. I marvel at Eric's skill in describing feelings and emotions--especially women's. I am also impressed by his ability to make all of the four main characters so vivid and believably real. This book was captivating, passionate, shocking, and tantalizing. It is so moving that it keeps you hooked from page one to the end. Get this book, you'll see what I mean. I love the dialog all throughout as opposed to mere explanations of situations. Eric Jerome Dickey, you are phenomenal. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next book.

Review: I just finished this book and I am here to say that it was one of the best books that I have read in a long time. I took this book with me everywhere I went, hoping to find a minute or two to read it. I laughed, I cried and although I felt very sad for Debra losing Leonard, tragedy brought out a lesson, which was the true meaning of "Friendship". I think every couple, friend, etc... should read this book. We can all get something out of it.

Review: Eric Jerome Dickey does it again in his second novel. A wonderful portrayal of African Americans in another positive light. AMBITIOUS AND SUCCESSFUL. A joy to see friends become lovers, and friends remain friends. A page turning love story from beginning to end. This is one you will definitely want to add to your personal library. Review: Friends/Lover's - A book that is well worth the time and patience of understanding life, ourselves, and what we want and do not want in our life, and relationship with our people of the opposite sex. I am truly glad that a writer and the best is that a man can and do understand us ladies enough to know what we want and need in life, and his explaination of our feelings. The weird part is that, being black in this unbalance world is bad enough, but, society have allow our man to do what they feel is o.k., and in the Bible, this one passage says, nothing is new up under the sun, meaning that the way of life and love has been and will be, we, as human beings, strong, beautiful, black, have to stand our ground and feel the joy of life within us, and, in starting relationshp, to do your homework and to pay attention. A lot of times we forget what we had been through, and we jump in the same pot. Friends/Lover's was really enjoyable, as a matter of fact, this is the first novel that I have read by this author, but, it will not be the last.

Summary: Just As Good The 3rd Time Around!
Review: Let me just say from the start that I read a couple of books a month and this is the best fiction novel I have read in a long time.While I read reviews on Amazon each week, it is rare thst I take out the time to post one. But having said that, it is rare that a book moves me as much as this one. I bought this book last year and I have actually read it 3 times. The first time I read it, I was in awe that the writer could take me to the places we traveled (the comedy tension etc) in the novel. I love it when I learn new things while being entertained. The second time, I read it, I wanted to see if the way a certain situation (don't want to spoil it for you if you have not read it) played out and moved me the same. . . and it did. And I loved the way it was handeled just as much the second time as I did the first. The third time I read it, I just flat out read it for sheer enjoyment and I did. This is a novel that if you start reading it you will not be able to put it down. Its whitty, romantic well written and very very unpredictable. The brother has mad skills with a pen and pad becasue he takes you in to a world and holds you there. . and than slowly, he takes your breath away.

Review: EVERY BOOK LOVER SHOULD READ A COPY OF FRIENDS AND LOVERS. IT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST WARM AND BELIEVABLE BOOK I'VE READ. THE AUTHOR WAS ABLE TO SOMEHOW GET INTO THE MIND,BODY, AND SOUL OF THE SISTAHS. I LOVED DICKEY'S LITTLE RHYMING SAYINGS AND SMOOTH PHRASES. WHEN I PUT THE BOOK DOWN TO TAKE A BREAK I FOUND MYSELF THINKING ABOUT THE CHARACTERS AND OUTCOME OF THEIR CONVINCING SITUATIONS. IT REALLY MADE ME SMILE. THIS AUTHOR HAS OUTDONE ALL OTHERS THAT HE'S BEEN COMPARED WITH. YOU GO BOYEE!

Review: Words can't even describe how this book made me feel. I laughed, I cried and I identified. I definitely cried. The characters were so real and I couldn't wait to get home from work to read it. I was thinking about it all day. Truly a page turner. I was so anxious to know what happened, but disappointed because I finished the book so fast. When I finised the book I was looking for more. I would really like for Dickey to write a sequel to that book. Dickey is excellent and deserves some kind of award for that book. Thanks Eric for entertaining me. I can't wait to read your next one. I would seriously recommend this one. It should not be missed!

Review: I enjoyed reading Friends and Lovers. One can easily relate to the characters. Also, it shows that sometimes it takes tragedy to bring those in love together as well as friendships. I am looking forward to reading "Milk In My Coffee".
