Review: EJD captures the thoughts and emotions of not only one chracter but four. Just as you get ready to put the book down, you stumble upon a line that makes you read another chapter, and another chapter, and another... Truly a literature that not only impctes the reader, but teaches the reader. Keep them coming EJD!!

Summary: Did a man really write this???
Review: This book is like everyone else said, DA BOMB!! It was so well written, I actually shed a few tears. I can't wait to read Milk in My Coffee, Cheaters, and Sister, Sister. It's like the brotha ALMOST understands women, but that's not possible :) I hope he keeps them coming. It's good to read a book that's not just about sex and romance, but also emotional.

Review: This book has many underlying elements of African-American love, heartache and understanding. Shelba and Tyrone are the epitomy of Black Love.....breaking up and getting back together; making things right and fighting for what they believe in and want.

Summary: A vivid reality
Review: To start, The book was too good to be true!!! I felt as if I personally knew each and every character. Dickey writes perfectly from a females perspective and that takes skills. At times I forgot a man wrote this book. I laughed and cried, I was nervous and afraid , I felt like a nosey neighbor of Shelby,Deborah,etc.. The books brought me to another world that was fictional,however it seemed as if it was reality. I am honored to hve had the chance to read such a work of art.

Summary: GREAT BOOK!
Review: This book is great from beginning to end, he is very in touch with exactly what a women wants and needs. When I first read "Sister Sister" I thought that he just got lucky and after "Friends and Lovers", I became a hardcore fan of the Eric Jerome Dickey club. I am now just about finished with "Milk in my Coffee" (also great) and cannot wait to get my hands on "Cheaters" (his newest book). Please start from the beginning and grow to love his work, as I have done.

Summary: Another Outstanding Book !
Review: Friends and Lovers is a book that I will never forget. Its characters I fell in love with, Debra and Leonard and even Ms. Shelby and Tyrel. When reading EDJ's writings, I feel as though I am there with the characters. I laughed, I cried, I got upset and I loved. I remember being on the plane reading this book and found myself laughing aloud or making comments aloud. I was in EDJ's world. My favorite chapter was Chapter 12. I have recommended this book to all of my friends. Some friends & I started a bookclub last year and this was the first book read. We all gave it an OUTSTANDING rating.

Summary: Friends and Lovers was a good book but...........
Review: This was my first time reading a book by Eric Dickey, and I had heard so much about it. I think that my expectations were set to high for this book. The book was alright, but I'm definitely glad I didn't buy it. I just wasn't into the book like I thought I would be. The characters weren't developed enough for me, and it seemed like he didn't complete one scene before jumping to the next. I didn't like the way the book hinted that something might happen, then when it did, it left no explanation of how or why it happened. For instance, when one of the characters just jumped up and got married. The story went on leaving me confused and upset. This was definitely not one of my favorite books!

Summary: My hat is off to Eric Jerome Dickey (Excellent Writing!!!)
Review: I didn't know what to expect when I picked out this book. After I went on line and checked out the reviews, it became a must read. Mr. Dickey has done an outstanding job in capturing this reader's heart and interest. He makes you feel connected to the characters. When they laugh, you laugh. When they cry, you cry. I look forward to reading another Dickey novel and getting lost in his creation of characters.

Summary: AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!
Review: Eric Jerome Dickey has extraordinary talent. I have never read a book where an auther was able to write a book filled with so many emotional issues and to hit each issue right on the nail. Throughout this book, I found myself agreeing to comments out loud, laughing hysterically, crying and becoming angry on behalf of the characters. This book affected me in a way that no other book has. I am very happy to see Dickey doing so well with his writing career. Eric, you are a suberb writer and I am thankful that you chose to share your work with the world.
