Rating: Summary: Tenchi VS. RPG Review: After playing Dungeons and dragons and many White wolf games, this game was a great dissapointment. But for ANYONE who loves tenchi and wants to role play in the tenchi enviroment, then this book is for you. It was merely to simple for my tastes and does not REALLY allow you to make unique characters, though is does kinda' allow you to... It is more for taking a tenchi character like ryoko and playing it in the tenchi environment with tenchi, not to make up a unique character and play it in a tenchi environment with unique non-player characters. This book does however contain excelent detail on the tenchi series and the entire time line, story line, maps of tokyo, maps of tenchi's house, and tons of great pictures.

Rating: Summary: Excellent RPG and fan resource Review: Guardians of Order continues to produce top-notch books that work well whether you are a gamer or just a fan of the cartoon series that they are adapting/describing.This release describes the "Tenchi universe" as it appears in the original animated series (and the follow-on, excellent graphic novels), and it does an excellent job of describing the characters, the setting, and the storylines. The simple and versitile game mechanics that are featured in all Guardians of Order anime adaptation games once again do a cracker-jack job at simulating the characters and action of the series. The selection of images from the animated series are also reproduced with excellent quality. (I faulted an early effort from Guardians for its murky reproductions--I have no such complaints to offer with this volume! The full-color pages and stills are stunning to look at!) I recommend this book highly, whether you're a gamer or just a Tenchi fan. (Heck, I recommend this game if you're a gamer who's never heard of the Tenchi franchise; this book is chock-ful of ideas for a lighthearted science fantasy setting/game.

Rating: Summary: Wow. Review: Thorough is an understatement. This book really does a great job of analyzing the Tenchi OAV and putting it all down on paper. A great resource that will greatly add to your enjoyment of Tenchi, and help you understand it better. Plus, the hundreds of full color photos aren't anything to sneeze at. As for the RPGing aspect of it, well I haven't exactly gotten that far yet. I really need to sit down & read the whole thing straight through before I'll comment on the mechanics. But then again, I had trouble picking up the mechanics to Paranoia, 2nd edition (one of the easiest to use RPGs ever, and then some), so I'm not one to comment. Overall, a really great buy and worth the price.
