Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fly me to the Moon!!! Review: Opalite Moon is science fiction at its absolute best. I saw that this book has been nominated for the Philip K. Dick Award for Outstanding Science Fiction, and after reading it I know why. Vitola's detective in the book, Ty Merrick, is not only a great sleuth that enchanted me throughout the story, but her lycanthrope side also adds a refreshing new dimension to the classic "werewolf". The mystery and magic of the Opalite culture also gave a mystical contrast to the dark future that was the backdrop for the adventure. I kept having a hard time finding a place to put the book down - this was a fantastic read! I'm hoping that Vitola's planning on treating us to more of Ty and her wonderfully unique circle of friends.
