Rating: Summary: 1 billion out of ten! Review: This book is a perfect mix of everything! It was amazing how the whole thing just came together at the end, but you were still so wonderfully confused. I loved the way it was written in "notebooks" becsause it made Jack's life sound SO real! The plot was so gripping it was almost impossible to put down, and it was the perfect book to read if you love books about time travel that will confuse but hook you. There are many suprises that never in a million years would you expect.A must read book for anyone who loves to have their imagination streached!
Rating: Summary: Scary yet cool and interesting and makes you think Review: This book is so cool it takes a lot of rereading to understand it but once you do you both love it and hate it
Rating: Summary: A well-woven tapestry of time and emotion. A puzzle solver. Review: This book was a good book because of the author's understanding of the human mind and heart. It makes you think! It is a good thing to read when you're bored. The only problem is you won't be able to put it down. Pete Hautman kept me on the edge of my seat, listening to the voice of the book, seeing the pictures in my mind. It also helped that the puzzle unfolds as Jack finds out about himself, and as he realizes it's not too late to save Andie. Samantha Small, 6th Grade, Highland Elementary School
Rating: Summary: C O N F U S I N G Review: This book was an ok book. It had a twisty story-line and it was kind of weird. Also it was confusing but mostly at the end. I would recommend this kind of book for people who can understand well.
Rating: Summary: When Jack walks through the door, his world changes forever Review: This book was appsolutely Incredible! At first nothing makes sence, but keep reading, and all your awnsers will hit you so fast you'll have to stop reading for a second to think about what you just read! The exciting and complicated plot makes this a book you won't be able to put down! (I finished this book in less than a day!) It was so exciting! I would completly recomend this Book to any one who loves to read, loves excitment, or complicated plots. A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: I loved this book. Review: This book was one of the best books I have ever read. I liked it because it was an action packed, mysterious, confusing book. My favorite part was when Jack was in the war. I liked that part because it was so suspensful , I couldn't put down and I love that kind of book.
Rating: Summary: Clever Review: This book was very cleverly written. I just loved the way he went from describing his past, then to letters and then to medical records etc. The combination of these 3 styles was a fun concept. This is a pretty simple idea, but it was written with a fresh imaginative style. I would have liked to have seen him take it a bit further, but being the length and swift pace it is his book is a great read for young adults. I will certainly look for more of Pete Hautman's work.
Rating: Summary: Mr. Was is overlooked Review: When my teacher first suggested it to me I was very sceptical. She had said it was her favorite book she read but it didn't defeat the fact that it was about traveling through a "magical door" that takes yo through time. But I got into it very fast. You try to hold all the facts together and try to understand everything but it will all come as a shock to you in the end for it has a plot twist that rivals that of the Sixth Sense. So many undesserving books aer higher than this in the Booklist. It makes me so upset that some great books (such as this one) get overlooked.
