Rating: Summary: I Love Furry Purry Review: This was definatly one of my favorite books by Reichert. I fell in love with the characters just as i did in all her other books. Even if you dont like the story, youll still love the cat. I am 14 and I think this book is good for younger readers as well as adults. It is a Must-Have in every fantisy lovers library.
Rating: Summary: Enchanting Review: When I first started tor read this book, I thought: "this will never get better", but it did. It got a lot better and then I could not stop reading it. It has a nice plot, most of the charachters are well developed, some lack depth but in general they are quite interesting. The fantasy realm of this novel has an interesting characteristic - the people can share a bond, a link with an animal, born at the same time as they were. The link is very strong, but what happens if the animal dies right after beeing born? The realm is of course at war and it is uppon the good guys to save it. If you try you will probably find some connections with the real history. It is as I said enchanting. Beautifully writen, with a bit of humor and a nice plot (even though a little predictable at times)
Rating: Summary: A pretty good read Review: While I enjoyed reading this book from my old favorite, Mickey Zucker Riechart and newcomer Jennifer Wingert, I must agree with an earlier reviewer that the ending seemed rushed. Another complaint is that the book seems unorganized in places, things happening with little explanation--possibly the result of the book's having been written in collaboration. At times new, very important characters would appear with little introduction, or the plot would shift with little explanation. Plus, the main character, Kiarda, was not fully developed, the authors tending to spend time with more minor characters instead--in fact at one point the group of characters on a quest is described as 'Bevin [a secondary character] and her companions,' rather than 'Kiarda and her companions. Seems like a minor complaint, but it did cause the reader's attention to wander and made the plot seem disunified. Despite these negative comments, though, I will be looking out for other titles by these two, especially if they are set in the same fantasy world as Spirit Fox.
