Summary: A great action adventure...
Review: This is the second book in Moran's series, "Tales of the Continuing Time." It's a great action-adventure novel, but leaves a bit to be desired in terms of character development. But given that this is one of a projected 33-book series, the characters still have time to develop in the sequels.

On the plus side, this novel features great action scenes, a decent grasp of physics, and a really likeable main character. Unlike so many other books, it hints at past history among characters without fulling spelling out the details - I got the impression that Moran knew a lot more about his characters than was revealed here. Trent, the failed telepath turned WebDancer [hacker], is a lovable wise-ass who has to abandon the girl he loves in order to save both their hides. The title refers to his prolonged escape flight across the inner solar system.

As another reviewer said, you should read "Emerald Eyes" first. It's such a lousy novel that I almost hesitate to recommend the series. Get a friend to tell you the plot of "Emerald Eyes", and then enjoy reading this one.
