Rating: Summary: I hope we see this in the Spider-Man Movie. Review: In 1987, Stan Lee, David Michelinie, and a team of writers and artists finally did a series of stories where Peter Parker married Mary Jane Watson, both in the regular comic book series, the newspaper Spidey comic strip, and a live event at Shea Stadium with the New York Mets. featureing artwork by John Romita, this is a funny/romantic story and has been generally regarded as one of the most important Spider-Man stories ever published. I hope film maker Sam Raimi recreates this event on film with the Spider-Man movie or in one of the sequals.
Rating: Summary: A chronicle of the life of Peter; the wedding Review: Spider-man: the wedding TPB, on it's own is a great read. It is atypical to most Spidey tpb because the story touches a turning point the will etched an indelible mark chronicling his rich history! This book is about the Wedding of Peter Parker and MJ. The book is a compilation of Amazing Spider-man issues(vol. 1) #l96-l98, the actual wedding comic derived from Amazing Spidey annual issue ?( I've forgotten)and from newspaper comic strips version and also the actual enactment at Shea stadium version. The story is excellent and recommended to romance readers. It is sweet, a love story and more importantly, the story has depth ! Featuring the 3-part story is about in the beginning Peter's feeling sad and empty inside. He felt something is missing . Eventually the story leads to finding MJ as the missing element in his life. This 3-part story is the high point and selling point of the book, it delves further by intricately and meticulously explore the feeling of Peter & Mj, knowing about each other better, and finally, about how to deal and culminate the feelings for each other. Aside from the above stated, it also delves further to Mary Jane origin- her past. You can follow her life by meeting her father, her sister and it's daughters. The story tells a lot regarding MJ's supporting cast that encircles around her, esp. during her earlier stages in life and this particular untold story was dimly tackled before this! Overall, an excellent buy & highly recommended as a chronicle to spider-man rich saga.
