Rating: Summary: Great! Review: I went to the library looking for these Fantasy books that the library ended up not having. I did not count on looking for books in the fantasy area, but since the books I wanted were not there I ended up not having a choice at all. This book caught my eye immidately! I started reading it that night and did not get into it right away so I went to bed pretty dissapointed but decided to finish it any way. I am so happy I did. It ended up going more at a new pace that I enjoyed. This book was a book that when you finish you say 'Ahh, that was fun!' Read it, it is great!
Rating: Summary: Vivid and gripping, a wonderful read. Review: Ms. Morland paints a vivid picture of her kingdom and it's people. With gripping action and plot twists it's the kind of book that will keep you up all night reading. I can't wait to see more!
Rating: Summary: Failed to interest Me Review: Nothing new for a fantasy lover like me. It's got everything ever other author has written about. Try something else.
Rating: Summary: Fascinating... Review: The characters are wonderfully real. They ARE people, who feel and react as real people. The concept is fabulous, but I think she could have done more with it. It starts and ends well, but the middle is somewhat drawn out; too much setting and not enough action. But the characters make you want to see how things work out in the end. And the climax is well worth the time to read through it.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic!!!! Review: This novel has a bizzare pace, and an unusual plot structure, but these structural novelties do not rescue the story from tiresomeness. The blatent sexuality, violent but not original enough to be unsettling, is a part of fairytale-fantasies like Sharon Green's, and not new or particularly interesting. I found the characters flat, and I did not like the prose. It's enjoyable if you enjoy romances of heroines rescuing their men from some idea of masculine brutality. Just don't expect anyting else.

Rating: Summary: One of the best fantasy books to come out in a long time Review: This simply is one of the best fantasy books to come out in a long time. Mrs Morland has come up with characters that reach out to you and tell you their story, and carry you along for the ride. I recommend this book highly for any fantasy reader, novice or long time junkie.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!! A fabulous book by a first-time author!!! Review: This was a fun and entertaining read! The characters are fun! The story has a different twist on a classic storyline. What more can you ask for? I hope she produces a lot more books!
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: This was great. Kept my interest and couldn't put it down until I had finished it. Would like more of this story in a sequel. That is one leopard I'd like for a pet. I was glad the heroine had a good role and didn't simper and cry but stood up for herself and I believe played a major part in the story. Great reading from Alanna Morland, put her in a category with Anne Logston.
